300 PRC update

Any good starting point n565 and n568 with berger 245 lrht single feeding.........

I thought he only wanted to mag feed so this will give me more options.

What speeds could I expect with 245 lrht single feeding out of a 28 to 30 inch barrel......

Then if he has to mag feed I will have a berger 220 load

I'm also not against trying n570 as an option for more performance this will be his elr rig only

My dad has decided to get a 300 prc barrel. With lapua brass what bushing are you guys running for 3 thousand neck tension? Or what's your loaded rounds measure? Most likely going to order the SAC 300 prc dies with the shoulder bushings

The plan is 28 to 30 inch barrel which ever he can find the fastest. Most likely shoot 230 a-tips with n565 maybe n568 depending on everything.

Any info is helpful with those combos

230 A-Tip, 74.8 RL26 (sorry, that's all I tried with A-Tips), CCI 250, .336 bushing, CBTO 2.803, Hornady brass, 2850 fps
230 Berger LRHT, 75.4 RL26, .336 bushing, Hornady brass, CCI250, CBTO 2.917, 2890 fps
225 ELDM, 78.5 H1000, .336 bushing, Hornady brass, CCI250, CBTO 2.920, 2900 fps

Does anyone run the short action custom dies? I figured they were one of the best and grab a .335 bushing with the shoulder built in and use mandrels for final neck tension.

Or the eric cortina dies both of those seem to be the best for non clickers

I have the Creedmoor version and use it for 22 Creedmoor. I also have the seating die. I like and use them both. I like the fact that the sizing die bushing sizes to the neck/shoulder junction.

So standard sammi reamer I can single feed the 245s sounds like 3.800 and then mag feed the berger 220s if need be?
Generally, the LRHTs like a lot more jump, like .030+”. I’m not sure why he’s seating right up to the lands, but if it works out for him then it’s all good. However that’s not the usual case with these bullets. I always seem to end up .020-.035” off the lands with my loads using LRHTs.
