How much is barrel life affected by going from 2900 FPS to 3000 FPS with a 230gr bullet? I have a 30" barrel so 3000 is definitely possible. I'm currently at 2900 FPS with 76gr of H-1000 with ADG brass and it seems like a fairly moderate load. I'm thinking I'm saving a little barrel life by sticking with 2900, but would like some confirmation.

Hornady had some of this info on their podcast recently. 300 PRC barrel life expectancy. Low: 1014, Avg: 1268, High: 1521 which there is more factors that play into it what they took account for but you could reason pretty well that a middle of the road load vs a hot load would get you about 250 rounds more barrel life.

Sounds good. I only loaded 5; quite a few changes from the last load. Curious to get some chrono numbers.
Not OTM but I literally just built a 300PRC with the JGS AW 2 reamer, loaded 76gr of H1000, 215M primer, Lapua brass, topped with a 230 Hybrid and it shot 1/4" right out of the gate!
Once I get it broke in I'll do bunch more experiments but I'm really close already!
Just loaded up some with V570, but H1000 is an option too. Curious about the responses.
I don't know anything about the AW2 chamber you mention. My 300prc is the standard chamber. FWIW , I use N565 in my with 230 A-TIPs. In initial testing I did try using with the 230 A-tip and was up to 79gr of H1000 with no issue. Never tried that 230otm your using.
If you get "clickers" when opening your bolt, the sammi chamber is too tight. The Alex Wheeler 2 "AW2" reamer opens the back of your chamber a couple of thousands of an inch. This is to give more clearance for extraction.
Did a velocity ladder test today, 75.6, 75.8, 76 and 76.2 was all within FPS!!!!! The second charge was 5fps slower, the other 3 charges was exactly the same speed! Ran the test all the way to 77.6gr and only then ran into a very faint ejector mark, primer still looked fine and bolt opened like everything else.

Anyone loading Hornady 212?
I was using V550, 80gr, on a 26” DT barrel and pushing 3025 - 3050. Started seeing just the slightest primer flatting. Groups were .7 but recoil was pretty stiff.
