I am looking to purchase a .300 win mag and have been looking at a remington sendero 2, 700p, and the 700 5r. I am looking to shoot target at the 500-1000 yard range. Besides fit and finish, is there any real difference between these rifles in regards to performance/accuracy? Any help/insight that anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: .300 win mag

I have a Sendero in .300WM. It is light in stock form and you will want a muzzle break or else it is a bit uncomfortable when shooting a lot.

I changed out the stock with a Mcree stock, jewel trigger, threaded for TBAC suppressor and a Sako muzzle break.

They like the heavier rounds. I was shooting 210grn Berger VLD's and the Sendero loved it and shot exceptionaly well.
I think you would be happy with a Sendero. Its a great shooter out of the box (at least mine was when I found the right load) and very customizable (I can't leave well enough alone).

my shooting partner has pss, it was pretty brutal as well with the 208 runnin pretty strong. its at APA now jared is doing brake install. 300wm def needs brake if your gonna shoot it much. if your just whackin a deer now and then....not so much
