Just out of curiosity, I'd like to know what your opinions are on this recovered bullet? My son shot a Buck this weekend and it's the first time that we try the Sierra 165 grain gamechangers in a 308 win. The shot was hard quartering away and the bullet entered center of the rib cage and stopped behind the far shoulder. It was lights out for the deer and it dropped instantly. Total penetration was about 20 inches and I'll weigh the bullet once I get home. What I do find surprising though is that when I pulled the bullet out, it was intact and the core fell out in my hand. Obviously I can't consider this a failure because the deer dropped where it stood but since the core fell out, is it considered a failure? Thanks in advance.
