i am new and i am trying to learn to dope the scope , i am using mil/mil scope.

i have been looking for a bullet drop chart for a rifle zeroed at 200 yards. so i could start playing with dialing in yardages.

i am shooting 175 grain 308 out of a 26 inch barrel.

should i just zero it in at 100 and use the charts i can find?? i have a data book to start keeping track of my shooting and rifle likes and dislikes. I want to get the mils exact for my rifle but starting points would be nice.

I am running a 26" bbl as well. My zero is at 200 with 175's @ 2700 FPS. This is what I know out to 300. Would have been 500 on a subsequent trip but I forgot my ammo. (Let the flogging begin.)(By the way, I am shocked you have not been pulverized as of yet) Strictly elevation, you gotta read the wind when you get on the gun. Up 2.75 for 250 yds. Up 4.5 for 300. I reckon you will take some wind with those 175's as I shot with a 7 o'clock wind @ 10 MPH and kept windage off the scope. I know that's not what you asked, just sayin'. I recently shot @ Camp Perry and found the ballistics program way off. That, no doubt is a function of input. Garbage in, garbage out. I believe that nothing can replace actually getting on the gun in the elements. I suppose these programs can help, but would you rather look at a picture of the beach, or have your toes in the sand? Deep thoughts from my shallow mind. Good luck and good shooting!
