I've had very good results with 168 grain SMK's, 38 grains of IMR 4895, Winchester primers and Lapua brass.

Why the 155 Amax?
155 Lapua Scenars or 155 Sierra Palma's are a much better choice ballistically if you want to stick with the 155's.
My "go-to" load that shoots well in just about everything is 43gr of RE15 with a 175gr Sierra Match King. I load it in Winchester brass with Federal GM210M primers for the bolt guns or Federal brass and CCI200 for the gas gun (because I don't care if I loose THAT brass).
Why the 155 Amax?

MV: 2925-2950 fps
Range 1200 yards to mach with 155 scenars.
Caution, this load is right on the edge of sane pressures. Work up slowly watching pessure signs.

Powder: Varget
Charge: 47.8
OAL: 2.943 or 0.015 from the lands
MV: 2925-2950 fps
Range 1200 yards to mach with 155 scenars.

COAL: 2.810, 3 thoa jump, 26" Krieger 1-11" 2925fps
Wolf primers really pulled that load together...easily better than Federal or CCI. ES was better as was the size of the groups.

+1 for the 175 SMK HPBT ... they work great in the 700VS.
