TranQuilo is heavier but is durable, repeatable, low back pressure and best can for the money to go on a gas gun, IMHO.
TranQuilo is only can I have used that I don’t have to putz with gas system / buffer weights, can on or off, rifle runs same and puts brass at same spot when ejects.
Guessing well North of 10k rds thru my TranQuilo, zero issues to date. 223, 25-08, 6.5 Grendel, 6.5 Creed, 260, 300 BO, 308 and a couple more that escape me at moment.

Cgs helios qd is inconel but they are not "minimal" back pressure. It is ridiculously durable though.

These are all solid options... I currently have one of each of the Sandman-S cans (regular & FDE), and a Nomad-LT (titanium) as far as .30 cal cans go. And also have a Dead Air Mask HD for rimfire, and a Rugged Obsidian 45 for pistols.

Yes that is very low back pressure for sure. I threw the Trash Panda out there because it is pretty light and the LaRue is so heavy.. On a battle rifle ounces equals pounds and pounds equals pain.

Yea I saw that. 40% off right now on CGS website using code SEP2021 (little cheaper than hansohn). After looking at the table I'm thinking the helios is the way to go. I have a dominus SR already on back order but I won't get that in my hands until 2024 after backorder/stamp approval so the helios will be available sooner.

The Ti version is out in 1 week. It won't be as durable as the inconel version but as long as you aren't getting it over 800⁰f you'll be good and at nearly half the weight.

Jay and the guys at gbrs have been beating on these pretty good without issue.

I can't imagine myself hitting that temp and I bet that suppressor will be OOS as soon as its released.

I love my Dead Air Mask HD. The Energetic Armament NYX also looks nice, as well as the OSS and TBAC 22 cans. I'm interested in adding one of those as well since I now have added several threaded .22LR weapons to the collection. Might get another Mask HD.

Yes, the Dead Air Nomad-L and Nomad-LT are. My Nomad-LT is one of the quietest cans I've heard in person.

I'm personally running a SF 762 RC2 on my 16 inch Larue 762 UU kit. I also put it on another system as well. I am a fan of the SF for many reasons, but it is no weight weenie.

OP - are you able to get some indoor/outdoor testing with any of them? Maybe you have some range/club friends that can help you make some decisions?

Some guys here mentioning the soon-to-be-released CGS Helios QD Ti which will no doubt be absolutely stellar, but that $1650 price tag is a bit steep for me. Yes, you get a couple of endcaps and muzzle devices, but still.

Also, if you want a lightweight .30 caliber can with awesome sound suppression for precision and hunting bolt-actions, the Dead Air Nomad-LT gets a huge recommendation from me. Love mine! If it's going on an AR or semi-auto, then I would get the regular Nomad-L (stainless version). It's a bit heavier, but it's tougher and can handle more abuse. On a bolt-action or hunting rifle where weight savings are more important, but you still want all the same sound suppression, go with the Nomad-LT.

Unfortunately not, suppressors aren't really a hot commodity and the individuals I know that are running them all pretty much have surefire cans. I was looking at the surefire option (I currently have a couple RC2's in jail) but I don't think they are the best option for civilians.

I mainly ordered them because I have a couple AR's that already have their flash hiders so figured why not. The dominus SR I ordered will be for either a future KAC or a radian build I have planned for later (waiting for a component sale).

I have a wolfman in jail for a pcc. My current want list is the following:

22 can for a tippman
(Probably want a couple more for some 22 rifles I plan on picking up for my son and I). Looked at the hydra but that can color is about the gayest thing I've seen and I've seen two dudes make out in public.

308 can (battle rifle) (ordering a helios and when I find another tbac cert I'll probably order another dominus SR).

A few wolverine suppressors for my aks (already have the extra carriers and 1 out 3 kns pistons).

After all of that is done... whatever platform I choose for PRS will get a can.

That is too bad. I agree that the Surefire cans probably are not the best option for most. When I ordered mine, I was suppressor ignorant, and mostly went off experiences from the Military, and a few scant reviews that were out there. I, too, had the muzzle devices already, so it made sense to me at the time.

I have no doubt that you will enjoy the Helios. I would like to order one sooner than later, just waiting for the budgeting/priority list to work its way down. FWIW, I do have a CGS Mod9 SK that I really enjoy, so I have no doubts the Helios will give a similar experience. As with all of the testing that has been done with it, I am positive it'll be a real performer for some time to come.

And that Hydra.......weird color choice indeed.

Dominis-SR if you want to best. I always buy the best suppressor that’s on the market at the time for my use because they’re not something that’s easy to upgrade when you realize the shortcomings on an inferior product. So they end up as paperweights when you get tired of it and upgrade.

Direct thread is the way to go for most real life, logical, practical purposes for most people with some exceptions, which in the vast majority of cases do not apply when you're leaving the silencer on one host firearm or using it between multiple host firearms of the same thread type. And depending on the direct thread silencer, some can be used with thread adapters which will let you use it on other thread types.

The whole thing about silencers coming loose when you don't want them to comes from people that use silencers which don't have wrench flats, from people that choose not to use the wrench flats on the silencer when provided, and from those hand tightening not using the SIG 25 deg taper shoulder interface between the silencer and barrel. If you use a wrench to torque the silencer on the barrel using the wrench flats on the silencer then there's no chance it's going to come loose until you want it to come loose. If you use the SIG 25 deg taper interface between the silencer and the barrel and hand tighten it there's no chance it's going to come loose until you want it to come loose.

Regarding the comment on hearing safe, base on conversations with Ray from TBAC that should only be considered with subsonics as the supersonic crack itself is not hearing safe...

Also - from durability standpoint - the SOCOM SURGE test seems to be a particularly good consistent test methodology. The Dominus passed 10 cycles of the SURGE test, so I think its pretty durable for a lightweight suppressor...

Regarding having silencer paper weights...

Hey, single item per trust is the solution to this. If you have a single trust, you can add/remove trustees just like a standard trust, but with only (1) item in the trust, you can sell the assets of the trust, then add a new trustee, make them the primary and they can remove you from the trust. Thus being in lawful possession of the assets in the trust, and no need to file any additional form 4's.

The problem you describe is essentially why there is no secondary market for silencers, but if everyone does (1) item per trust, you can transfer the trust in whole...

I use the OSS 762Ti on my POF 308 DI Revolution. Zero impact on function. Can will not come off as the flow through design and direction of the escaping gasses forces it to stay threaded on the muzzle device. You can literally finger tighten the suppressor and it's super easy to get back off. I also use it on a 300 blackout and 5.56. No muzzle restrictions. Within an ounce of other full-sized cans and doesn't add a ton of weight with its partial Ti construction. Dramatically quieter with the can off vs. on. Less gas in the face. Full auto rated. POI shift is repeatable. Really no downsides and actually designed to function on a semi-auto vs. a bolt gun. You won't be disappointed.
