Brand new to reloading and wondering if anyone could help out picking between powders (imr 7828 or hodgdon us869) and maybe giving me a head start on load data. Picked up some hornady 285gr amax for hunting this year, Winchester large rifle magnum primers, using hornady match brass fired from my rifle, Lyman reloading press kit, Lyman 49th edition reloading book, and hornady dies. I realize my gear isn't top of the line, going with what's available/affordable .
Thanks in advance

York, Pa... South central pennsylvania.
Hunt coyote and bear up in Lycoming county. Mostly hunt the gas pipelines, only place in pa I can shoot anything past 75m. Shots up there for me (my ability and comfort zone)max out at roughly 500m. Plenty of opportunity past 1000m, but again that's a far cry from my ability right now.

Hit the gunshow this weekend and picked up some powders. The powders recommended by you guys meshed with my other readings and reload book, sooo I scratched the previously mentioned and went with the seemingly more popular Retumbo, H1000, and RL 22... We shall see how it goes. As always, thanks for everyone's help!
