I have a beautiful lil 410 Wingmaster that I want to start shooting again. It was my 1st gun and I have a complete Pacific reloading set up for it. I was just wondering if anyone here reloads for 410 and if they had tried the nickel or copper plated shot for improved performance.

Heck, 410 shells are 14.00 a box around here. I know it has to be cheaper to reload them and will bring back some old memories.

I use to shoot a lot of skeet. I had a 4 gun set of Rem 870s, 12, 20, 28, and 410.

I also had a 4 gun set of Mec 600s for reloading the above guns. It didn't take me long to get rid of the 410 Mec. those suckers were a pain to reload, picky and time consuming, not to mention smashed fingers. I just bought my 410s it wasnt worth the effort to me.

But thats just me.

i havent smashed any fingers with my mec but when i reloaded a bunch of 410's for my friend, if the case wasnt perfectly round, it would crush the wad into the shell rim and ruin it, so i have started tossing any hulls that had any out of round to them. i used alliant 2400 for powder

Heck with ammo for the lil gun 14-15 a box, even if you only loaded a hull once I think you would be saving money. haha.

Im gonna get my stuff together one of these days and load some with some copper or nickle plated shot to play with.
