Just bought a 5lb can and when I got it home I noticed it wasnt sealed up. Should it be? Never seen one not sealed up before. Bought it from a big shop which sells lots of supplies. Looks like r15. Probably paranoid. Thoughts?

You might want to contact the vendor and see what they have to say about it. I would think a reputable one would exchange it. All my powder has always been sealed. Even without cross-contamination or other issues, moisture alone should be a concern.

RL-15 has a hard plastic seal on the cover kind of like a bottle of water. If that was broken when you bought it I would exchange it. You never know what someone might've or could've put in it.

    I don't recall RL-15 having a plastic/foil like seal like IMR/Varget does.

That makes me feel better. I've never seen one without the foil, but I've never used a larger can of RL15 before. I didn't notice breaking the cap when I twisted off the cap, but I wasn't thinking about it, I just noticed no foil.

    Thanks
