So I've just got back from 5 weeks away.
It's bloody cold back home during winter so the nice North Queensland weather was a nice break.
This is my second trip up there in 4 years.

These pics are all from my iPhone, I have loads more on other cameras.
It's a fishing hotspot but we got a little screwed over by tides.
Still caught plenty of big Barra and mud crabs.

My shot of the trip was at 448 meters with the ruger, leaning on the car with gun on mirror, my first hunt with this gun so still getting used to it, the wind was so strong I held at the pigs ass and got it in the head.

Between the dogs and my shooting we got around 180 good boars.

Here's a few pics for you.

This boar was 130kg

100kg boar shot at 200 metres with the ruger scout & 150 ballistic tip

Another good boar the dogs got, the tidal creek behind it had a huge saltwater croc on the bank the night before.

Aussie road train, overtaking is fun the first time, the rear trailer can sway up to 5 metres

The tikka on the quad, longest kill was at 700 yards. Pigs would come down here on dusk

Found this patch at a service station of all places, thought it would annoy my mates if I wore it around, it did.

This was a big angry fella.

This burnt car yard goes into the bush for about 5km.
Our indigenous Australians tend to just drive them till they stop. Then burn them. The government then dumps them somewhere near the community.

What's the caliber and setup on the Tikka

It's 7mm08 stainless varmint, gen4 w3 and atlas bipod

Scope is Viper PST 6-24 mrad 20moa base and weaver rings

Was shooting 162 sst with excellent success, these big boars have very thick shoulder pads and it worked well. In saying that I also did well with 162 hornady bthp and 168 smk's.
