6.5 creedmoor hand load results

Thought I’d share some results I got from testing some 6.5CM loads.


Cartridge: [39.5grains h4350 powder, same sig brass, federal large rifle primers
Hornady 143grain eld-x bullets

Overall cartridge length: 2.8100”
Length when measured with comparator tool 2.1710”

Rifle: browning x-bolt speed 22” barrel
Barrel twist 8”
No modifications
Stock trigger

Shooting position: prone

Target range: 100yards

Conditions:
70°F sunny, appx.15mph wind blowing to 5-o’clock.
Elevation:5300feet

Measurements:

• Shot 1: [2600 fps]-not cold bore shot.
• Shot 2: [2612 fps]
• Shot 3: [2606fps]
• Shot 4:[ 2612fps

• Average FPS: [2606fps
• Standard Deviation (SD): [4.8

Forgot to add, I used the Lee four die set.

I full sized the brass.
Trimmed the brass too 1.910”+- slightly
Deburred
And used the Lee supplied factory crimp die and did a light crimp.
