Hopefully someone has some field experience with this but which factory round would be the best on hogs and / or deer during deer season?

Ive used 123amax on hundreds of hogs as well as deer and never had a problem.

How's the expansion of the bullet?

It doesn't peel back like a lot of dedicated hunting bullets but it does mushroom a bit . The jackets get shed a lot or pieces of them separate but that never bothers me, the more stuff flying around in there the more damage!
