I am thinking about having a reamer ground to neck the 7LRM down to 6.5. Maybe even improved it. Does anyone have any experience with doing this already. I believe it will push a 140 gr Berger at around 3,300 FPS. I know it will burn the throat quickly. But it should be fun anyways.

I am kicking around the idea of a .270/7 LRM to shoot the Matrix 165 and 175 gr bullets. Have you considered melonite barrel treatment to extend the throat life on the 6.5 LRM? Keep us posted with your project.

The 26 Nosler will be coming out in 2014 which is based off the 375R case.

Like I mentioned in another thread...I have some friends that built some hot 6.5 magnums. In less than 500 rounds/3450 fps/140's- bullets were disintegrating mid air.

The 26 nosler is based off a 404 Jeffrey basically a shortened up Rum to 300 win case length. Very close to a 300 Dakota necked down but with a 532 rim. Will make one heck of a 7mm at least that's my thinking.

Apparently Gunwerks is coming out with a 6.5 LRM that will have reamer, dies, headstamped brass next year. Not sure where it will be in the 6.5 spectrum. I think closer to the 6.5 SAUM than the 26 Nosler.
