I finally got them both finished up....just in time. We leave for the ITRC on Wednesday. I have had my rifle finished up for about 2 weeks, and have been fitting JLR's in between other builds. They both shoot the same velocity...within 5-7fps of each other, and we are able to use the same dope....which is nice considering these are our Tactical Comp rifles. They are proving to be very accurate..

Here are the specs:

Phoenix Machine Receivers w/1 pc bolt...consecutive serial numbers
Manners T2 stock
Rock M24 contour 1-8 twist, 26" fluted
Jewell Trigger
DE Brake
DE Cheekpiece
Badger M5 DBM
Seekins 20 moa rail/lug combo
NF 5.5-22x50 NP-R1 w/ultralight rings
R Bros Camo on the stock
Dark Earth gun-kote on metal w/ black flutes & Bolt

As you can see, the two rifles are pretty much identical. Seems to be a trend with JLR and I....good to be brothers.

Re: 6.5x47 Lapua Twins

Guys,

I am running 42.2gr of H4350 with a 130 Berger. Velocity is 2980 out of both rifles. Today we shot out to 1380 and made first round hits.

Jim, I am pretty sure yours will do the same

.

Gibar, #1 belongs to me, and #2 is my brothers. We also have matching sequencial 338 Edges also.

The brake is made by Defensive Edge. The 4 ports are a little overkill, but the rifle recoils less than a 22LR. Very easy to spot shots and stay on target in competition.

Re: 6.5x47 Lapua Twins

Just spotted for JLR shooting his here in Wenatchee.
First round hits at 705 on a 10"x10" plate then we found a rock at 1050 yards. The rock is 5"x8" and he got it on the first round!
I shot 2 at 705 and connected both easy.
Nice rifle and the 130's are tracing out very flat!

Jim,

They are the 1" ultralight rings...your rifle could probably get away with the .885" rings since it has a smaller barrel contour.
