Guys I have searched and searched for these two answers on the interwebby but cannot find the answers. Can you please give me some insight on the below.

Should I go to coated or uncoated 115 Dtac's and why?

If I go coated can I shoot naked bullets through that barrel or is the barrel dedicated to coated once I shoot a coated round through it?

Only shot non-coated. Tubbs says better velocity with coated but I don't want the extra coating in the barrel. I had good results with the 115 in my .243 ( 26in 1-7.5) not as good in my 6cm but I chock this up to the 6cm being a 1-8 twist. I ordered 2 new barrel for my AI'S a 6.5cm and 6cm and both of those are going to be 26 in 1-7 twist.

I’ve used coated DTACS and switched to I Coates 105 VLDs for a while with no issues. Back to he DTACs now and all is well.

Was about to start the exact same thread - I’m glad I searched around first! That said..how did the coated bullets perform in your (I’m assuming) untreated bore?

Looking at ordering some DTACs tomorrow - will the coating effect accuracy or can it only help bbl life (however minor, since my bbl isn’t treated).
