Alright so I'm trying out the wind theory that was discussed on the podcast. My BC according to Tubb is a .620 at 3011 fps average. I'm comfortable with that BC and my data is tracking perfectly and has been verified to 1033 yds. So in theory I should have a 6 mph gun+-. However, when putting the info into a few different ballistic apps it take 8 mph to make the wind holds line up.
100 is .1 and tracks to 900 yds
1000 is 1.1 so there is the plus .1 that was discussed
1300 is 1.5 so I'll need plus .2
1400 is 1.6 "
1500 is 1.8 so I'll need plus .3
Big question does this seem right to you guys? Why do I need an 8 mph wind with a bc of .620. Are the DTACS that good at flying?
