I'm shooting an Armalite AR-10T SASS and Savage 10FCP in .308. The Armalite is a 1 in 11.25 twist with a 20" barrel. The Savage is in a 1 in 10 twist with 24" barrel. I'm looking for some good loads for each until I get proficient with handloading.
1) I'm looking for some good suppliers of match ammo (besides Wal-Mart). I've checked out Mel's at SniperCentral. Suggestions....?
2) Any experiences with putting M118 or equivalent rounds through both rifles?.....suggestions...?
3) Is there really a big difference between .308 and 7.62? I know the 308 is the commercial version, but can someone share their experience shooting both through these kind of rifles?
