I am still develping my elk hunting load for this fall. I have been playing with H1000 and 175 SGK and 180 Hunting VLD's. So far 66.5-67.5 has been my most accurate groups. I am somewhat limited on OAL by my magazines.

180vld, 61.5ish of H4831SC. Load .01-.1 off the lands and let her fly. MV is around 2750. That is with a 26"barrel

The three GAP's that I load for all shoot 65-66 h1000 CCI-BR2 primers, win brass 180 Bergers vld's 2950-2975 fps. I will get you the COAL once I get home.

I shoot gap 7 wsm and DTA SRS with 7 WSM barrel with 69 gr H1000 and 168 gr Berger VLD. Used OCW method and get about 2950fps

66.8 GR. RL-25
180 Berger VLD Hunting
.023 jump
2.173 OL to ogive
2946 FPS with 8 fps es over 5 shots
Very slight pressure signs but nothing to worry about
3 shot group at 300 yards:

I would tinker with OAL. Mine mine are limited by mag length and 2.95 I believe. Mine shot better off the lands.
