7mm08 AI freebore??

Looking for insight on 7-08 ackley reamer Freebore. Going to be a 20” tube hunting/occasional target rifle. Only reason for going ackley is to gain a little speed back and the case looks cool with 40* shoulder.
Probably going to load the 162 eld. Don’t know that I will go much heavier.

Generally speaking, the company who makes your reamer will supply a print of the reamer specs. I have a 7-08ai reamer, and I didn't specify anything fancy. I do have a seperate throat reamer, so can custom cut for depth.

Just curious if a standard reamer will let still fit in mag length with a 162.

i run a 7SAW which is similar

.150 freebore and mag length (non binder plate) with 162 and 180s

WTO has a reamer for AI mags with a binder plate too

Yes it does. Well, mine does and it's not "special".

My special reamer is a 7mm super LR. That's specc'd for 162s and mag length.
