Could've been a lot worse. At least pepper spray wears off after a little bit.

I wasn't there, so I ain't going to make a judgement call. But pepper spray is pretty minor IMO.

This kid sounds like if he keeps this up he'll have 25 felonies and be one of those guys we ask ourselves "Why didn't we lock him up sooner" when he blows up a high school and kills 25 people..

You're right. Your thread failed at stirring up a mouth frothing hate fest for all things LEO. Just how many people who disagree with you do you assume are LEO?

Criminals generally don't look to the police for help unless it is their last option on earth. Judging by this kid's history and actions that day I don't think he was on the verge of becoming the altar boy. Making friends is not the job of a police officer, fairly and respectfully enforcing the law is.

The cops didn't create the little bastard, they were just called to deal with him and they did it appropriately. Sorry you disagree.

At the end of the day, it is to bad this kid is going to struggle through life, because his MOM is a piece of shit, and wont discipline her kid. The words I hated the most growing up was "Im telling your dad when he gets home." When my mother would say that, I knew my ass was toast (literally). If mom took and waked that kid a few times, it would stop all that shit. Its her fault, he is the product of her stupidity.

Kid got what he deserved, to bad they didnt taz his ass.

problem with this little magot is hes never had his A$$ PROPPERLY WHIPPED!!! if somebody at the school propperly whipped it, his sniffeling white trash momma whoulda sue'd em for beating her little disaster. so i say let him keep pitchin those fits and let em hose those beautiful little eyes down with the hottest pepper spray they can find. this is what is wrong with our country. the entitlement generation has made some excellent decisions.

The problem is if you lack the ability to connect the bad act with the ass whipping with remorse, the ass whipping is just an outlet for the frustrated adult in charge. It won't change the kid's behavior, not one bit.

I like all the people saying that the cop should just handle the kid and take him down. How exactly should a cop "handle" an 8 year old armed with a stick and not have the perception of over use of force. If the cop were to hit the kid, he is an ass. If the cop were to tackle the kid, he is an ass. If he pepper sprays the kid, he is an ass. How does the cop win in this case. Personally I would have loved to see him get tazed. I love those things.
