I'm looking for another fixed power scope for a rifle project. Something along the lines of an 8x56 Steiner Penatrator(no longer made). I just saw that Schmidt Bender makes a Classic 8x56 that looks pretty similar to the Steiner except the Steiner has a 26mm tube. Any others out there? I might even be up for a fixed 10x if the optics are good.
Thanks.

Go for the 8x56 it has better light transmission in low light. The exit pupil on an 8x56 is 7mm, that is about the maximum the human pupil can dilate to in low light. 8x56 scopes have been very popular in Europe for this very reason because they do a lot of low light hunting over there.
