close all the recruiting stations and bring back the draft like in the Vietnam says..............
eliminate the college deferment and start with the kids at Berkley. Maybe if they fight for the country they will
appreciate it a little more.......and we can save 380 million in bonuses.........just a thought lol

It was happening in the late 80's. CREO Groups and NEC's and High Year Tenure. Was in a 110% manned rating with as close to zero possibility of advancement even as a 4.0 squid with plenty of points and personal awards in the salad bar. When you're not safe in the Military something is wrong IMHO. Now if you were a shit bird, ya I get it.

Yeah, mine was also ~$22,000 in the late 1980s... which is around $58,000 in today's dollars.

As for the draft? It wouldn't anyone, men or women, to donate two years to the country that offers them so much. Although I don't think it should be up to the government to teach people honor and responsibility.

Draft would not work in todays military. It was bad enough in my twilight years with the kids that actually enlisted with their ADD, shitty attitude and sense of entitlement. Bringing in these little pussies with their fidget spinners, safe spaces, and social justice bullshit; NCO's will be getting locked up for pimp slapping fools.
