It contains only one phrase though... "FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT".

    Hear it being spoken...

GM6 Lynx .50 BMG semi automatic rifle platform in a bullpup configuration.
    Mfg: Hungary.
    MSRP: $14,750

US Availability: AVAILABLE. (Backordered. Only imported upon placement of order)

Now this is one beastly toy to lug around. Recoil seems to be very manageable due to the howitzer style floating barrel and action but the GM6 had never been intended as a standard 'grunt' weapon due to it's size even though everything that can be scaled down has been scaled down to maximum safety-allowable tolerances. Anybody own or have operated one of these bad boys?

    Hi,

I messed around with the Gen 1 and 2s several years ago.
They are pretty fun if you like close quarters and need a BMG to do it, lolol....

That rifle spurred the development of a few different semi auto bullpup BMGs back in the early 2010 era such as the Micor Leader that was developed by St George Arms.

I am surprised they have not caught on more in the USA since they are really the last man standing in the small frame semi auto bullpup style BMGs..
I would guess the lack and complications of warranty, repair and service might be the issue BUT hopefully Hurricane Butterfly is handling that in house instead of shipping back and forth overseas.

    Sincerely,
    Theis

I recall seeing one around 2012 or 2013. I thought it was an interesting design, especially since I already owned a gen 1 SRS, but even back then importing one was about $11k of i remember correctly

    Price is now $14,750. https://hurricane-butterfly.net/product/gm6-lynx/

You can get a Barrett + suppressor for less than that. Not sure this has enough to offer at that price for hobby shooters.

This is basically the factory tricked out and upgraded Duramax of the firearms world. However, I can see it being favored for certain conditions where you may need to smash the ever loving fuck out of everything from tangos behind concrete walls to moving vehicles, but a Barrett is just too unwieldy to carry around. I remember watching footage from Fallujah and Ramadi where the US Marines and Iraqi forces were literally bogged down for hours behind one position at a time, usually in clusters of miserable walled hamlets that were being shredded by the minute by insurgent spray-and-pray fire coming from all directions. Nobody can even poke their heads up more than a few inches because the air was basically a guillotine blade of projectiles... Deploying a GM6 while remaining relatively low profile from a fetal position, ie., the 'Rittenhouse maneuver', locating one hotspot where multiple enemy fighters are gathered, and unloading 3 or 4 Raufoss MK-211s at rapid succession right through the wall they are firing from will have similar effects to letting rip with a LAW rocket on that bitch... You can do the same with the M82 in the same situation, though it is a bit more tricky. A GM6 with a Glock 19/extended mag mounted to the underbarrel rail, on the other hand?...

ETA: As for hobby shooters and civilians... Wasn't fuckin' ANTIFA/BLM reported using vehicles now to ram and damage other vehicles on the road? If this shit goes hot one day or another, I wouldn't put it past the leftist terrorists to make full use of vehicles to cause carnage and destruction. The fucking incels have already been doing that shit and killed a whole bunch of people in Canada years back. I can see the GM6 and other heavy duty bullpups being EXTREMELY useful in engaging domestic terrorism.

LOL I don't think they will want to leave their safe spaces with some dude totting that halo cannon monstrosity around.

In any case you don't shoot the car you shoot the squishy driving the car.

Exactly. Just like Iraq and Afghanistan, the sole reason why ANTIFA is so brazen in the streets right now is because our hands are tied to our balls. In the Middle East, it was the ROE... And right now on our own streets? Pretty much the same thing. Rule of 'law', or whatever remains of law after being sodomized by the left for their own purposes. Without this restraint, bits of tattooed flesh would have been blown hundreds of feet skyward everywhere by now...
