Hey everyone. First post other than to purchase in the classifieds. I recently picked up this rifle up (thanks to hemiram347) and thought I would post a little review. Here are the specs of the rifle:

Stiller TAC-30 short action 20 MOA rail
Manners T4A stock w/ Manners Mini Chassis
26" Rock barrel. M24 contour. 1:8.5 twist. Threaded 5/8-24
Rifle Basix trigger
Scope: NXS 8-32x56 NPR1 (thanks excaliber)

I've only put about 130 rounds through it so far, but have been very impressed with the rifle. I would consider myself an average shooter (college student, no training), so take that into consideration with the group sizes.

I will say that Aaron Roberts has been very helpful since I purchased the rifle. He made contact with me when I bought it and spoke with me on the phone about the build and his load he tested it with. Since then he has checked in with me a couple times to make sure that everything is okay and to see if there was anything he could do for me. I was very impressed with his personal service. To me, the rifle is beautiful and shoots much better than I do. I haven't seen his name come up too much as a builder, but if you are in the market for a custom build, I would definitely recommend Mr. Roberts.

First time posting pics. Hopefully they'll show up. If not, any help would be appreciated.

Trying to get used to shooting 5 shot groups rather than 3. 5 shots at 300. All shooting off bipod and tab rear bag.

Used steel target to get on at 650. Then shot this 5 shot group:

Final 3 shots after adjusting at 650. Perfect day to shoot. Could I do it again? Unlikely, but the rifle is capable of it.

Re: Aaron Roberts Built .260

Nice rifle! Aaron is a hell of a guy, and an even better gunsmith. He put together my 223, and a 260...in record time...and has been absolutely one of the best people that I have worked with in any capacity. I highly recommend his shop.

Re: Aaron Roberts Built .260

Did Aaron do the stock texture? What did he or you use for it... That thing looks AWESOME!!!!

And that 3 shot group is a hell of a testament to a good rifle...

Good Luck!!!

Re: Aaron Roberts Built .260

I actually did that texture myself when I was waiting on brass to reload. Was going for the tac-ops look. Used gray marine Tex and a tongue depressor. Just sanded it down a little and covered it with flat black duracoat. I love the feel of it. Especially if my hands start to sweat.

Re: Aaron Roberts Built .260

Thanks I'd say go for it. With enough work you could always sand it down. I did it for the look initially but its very functional to me. I can't take credit for the paint. I'm not sure if Aaron did it or the original owner.

Very nice shooting and such a sweet setup! </div></div>

Thats true, they look like Semi-Wad Cutter holes

Re: Aaron Roberts Built .260

The targets are caldwell sight in targets or something along those lines. Kind of a plastic like paper. Leaves clean holes if they don't crack. Fairly cheap to buy. I like the size of the tagets for shooting groups.

Re: Aaron Roberts Built .260

Very nice. I see you are using 142 SMKs. What other components in your 260 load? I'm using 142 SMKs, pushed by 44.2 gr of H4350 in lap brass and fed 210M primers. Still experimenting with OAL but am consistent at (little more little less) .5 MOA

Re: Aaron Roberts Built .260

Mines pretty similar. 142 SMK in lapua brass (I loaded it right from the box). 43 gr h4350. Fed 210M. Loaded to 2.84 (.01 off lands) and runs through mag. I'm not sure on velocity, I'm waiting on the magnetospeed to be available, but based on my drop I'm guessing around 2800 fps
