Accuracy International AT-X

Somehow another one followed me home the other day - and it weighs 50% more than its baby brother....

Steel City Precision Team Sniper Challenge (1 Day). The match format was hike/find/range/engage. We covered about 8 miles total. All stages were completely blind. Stage brief was posted 100 yards or so from the stage. No Q&A after reading stage brief. We were lucky enough to come in 3rd. I was running the ATX with a hinge 🤣

It took a month or so for me to get mine back from them, but they indeed will get you taken care of no doubt. I spoke to one of the guys at their shop, ironically the day the new one shipped out, and he told me what they found with my trigger and the cause of failure.
1 week turnaround for me. They put a whole new trigger in. WAY better. Very nice!!

That match format reminds me of Ryan Castle's PPRC match years ago. I really liked that match

You need to shoot Andy’s Major Land match. Similar layout but less rucking. Pretty much a combination between PRS and Hunter matches with a team component. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Nice! Could you squeeze a top rail under there?
With SPUHR SP-4006, H1,35" mount:
The remaining space is about 7mm below the Vortex Razor Gen II scope.
If I mount a Kahles there is about 9mm between the bottom of the scope lens and the long bridge.
The difference between the picatinny rail and the full bridge is 6mm.
You can calculate the rest, depending on what you want to mount on the rifle

Is this a legit range of adjustment on the AI comp trigger?
It's supposed to be....but it seems to have caused issues/failures to occur more often for those who do, at least on the original version. I think there were a few tweaks made on the AT-X version, so maybe it's better?

4th bullet point under additional features, “ User adjustable to single stage operation”

There are instructions on the adjustment in the booklet I do believe (pretty sure I followed the little pamphlet in the bag). I probably have 1,300rds without fail - and it’s adjusted to about 8oz pull, as light as it would go without failure (any lighter and the sear wouldn’t catch or a small bump would cause it to go off). It has nice windows so you can actually see the parts interact with each other and see what effects your adjustments are having.

The 2nd ATX in my picture is adjusted with 2 stage at about 12oz each for a total 1.5lb pull. Each have their purpose and in general I wouldn’t recommend the 8oz setup unless you’re on a bench with bags in a controlled environment.

Figured I'd just make a quick video on what's the most likely issue there and how to properly set it up for single stage action.

I have a question regarding my recently purchased AT-X in 6.5 Creedmore. For optics I am using a ZCO 840 scope with a 1.5 Spuhr mount. I took it to the range yesterday and and attempted to zero it. My plan was to get it on paper a 50 yards and do my final zero at 100. What surprised me, is that it took 10.5 mils on the turret in elevation to get it on paper at 50 yards and the shots were still low. I find this strange because by other gun, a MPA Hybrid Hunter with a 1.125 Spuhr mount and a Nightforce ATACR 7-35 took only 3.5 mils on the turret elevation to get the gun zeroed at 100 yards. I can't figure out why there is such a discrepancy between both rifles. Now I am wondering if there is a problem with the scope or the AT-X rifle or could the difference be normal due to being different rifles, height of mounts and/or different scopes.
