We shall see how things pan out. I just for an aTX and I know where one is but the sticker price killed meOr get an older ai
Hilarious. But for real, who makes that bolt knob and how do I get one?Sneak peak!!
Alright guys be on the lookout for the newest newest POST- SHOT show model, the AT-XB (brass).
This one is made entirely of brass, including the action, has a straight pull bolt (got rid of the lift entirely) and weighs 87lbs unloaded.

The thing driving up the price is the additional accessories you get included.LOL, $6,538.
Fuck off AI.
You new to AI, son?A bridge, hinge, and bag rider are worth $2K? What kind of bizzaro world bullshit math is that?
I just bought a bridge for $278 at Mile High, are you guys telling me a folding hinge and a mediocre bag rider are worth an extra $1700 and change?
The hinge is a $250 part, so no.A bridge, hinge, and bag rider are worth $2K? What kind of bizzaro world bullshit math is that?

I think a lot of folks are comparing it to the $4,250 "Sale" price that the AT-X has been at for a while, however the original MSRP is $5,250. So with the AT-XC being listed at $6,538, the difference would be $1,288. Folders are $250, a full bridge is $278, and assuming the AI tax on the bag rider, call it $120. Total would be about $648 meaning AI is essentially adding a $640 increase for the new action which is just keeping up with inflation at this point.A bridge, hinge, and bag rider are worth $2K? I can’t see them. Looks like they have a bunch of AT and AXSA in stock thoughLooks like they're listed online at Eurooptic's website now.
Bingo. My AT will stay a 308 and live happily that way for its lifeI wanted an AI for years. Glad I finally got mine last year, and for a decent deal too. I'm out of the AI market now. Too rich for my blood, and I'll consider my timing lucky.

Now if damn AI can get some more AW mags to market that’s be great
I’m building an Impact range riffle as soon as I can collect enough cans or my OnlyFeet gains more traction, whatever comes first
I wanted one pre Curtis action. Bad.I've been trying to talk myself out of a GAP PPR for the last hour. Even though they went up $500, it's still a heck of a lot of rifle for the money.
I'd buy it, but there's no more safe room, and I don't have anything that I want to sell.

Hah enjoy your inferior action without gas vents and two less action screws!Same here. Got the discount. Got a discount on the Zeiss LPR S3 6-36X56 on top of the rifle. All told I feel pretty good about it, especially now!
I can’t see them. Looks like they have a bunch of AT and AXSA in stock though
Correct, but you can use the UK pricing to see how AI has priced this thing. The base and pro is an AI UK thing. The US AINA rifles are like the pro, bridge, hinge and bag rider.
Running list?I have a running list for guys who are looking to get into the new XC. PM me and I'll see what we can do for guys.
Running list?
As in running away screaming from the new prices
I estimated closer to $7500-$8k. That price doesn’t bother me at all. Figured we have the AXSR and now the short action version of that priced accordinglyIt's a more of a price jump then guys wanted to see that's for sure. Adding the 1300 bucks in for new action, bridge, and hinge is pretty much in line with what I thought it was going to be. I guess you could look at it as it's $1750 cheaper then the AXSA...
I’ll probably end up getting’ killed on da’ streets because I don’t have gas vents to save me, and the action will fall out of the chassis.
A good definition of a hobby is something that makes terrible financial sense but you enjoy it anyway.Although the money is getting crazy for a hobby…
The same people will go travel for a 2 day PRS match that costs around 1k + all in. And that’s without practice ammo costs.
My father used to say “people always have money for what they want”
I wanted one pre Curtis action. Bad.
Now they use the Curtis and im staying clear.
I can get an Impact with a Proof prefit a TT special and KRG chassis for about the same $
Vintage AT-X master race! Now that the AT-X is disconnected it's got the retro appeal:I have a question about the short actions:
Are we saying "AXSA master race" yet?View attachment 8344166
So you’re upset they don’t give out prints? It’s really not that difficult to measure and reverse engineer it. Or buy a barrel from someone who does AI prefitsSee my sig. As much as I want to love the rifle, AI (the company) keeps kicking me in the balls.
I can get shit on for free at work and home.
If you can't see sigs: Emailed AINA asking if my smith could get info to spin up a barrel. They said No.
I'm out.
Is that in $US?Correct, but you can use the UK pricing to see how AI has priced this thing.
GBP export prices:
3650 AT (folding)
3938 AT-X (non-folding)
4380 AT-XC Standard
4980 AT-XC Pro
Definitely a massive price jump as far as an “entry level” AI, but that’s AINAs doing.
Thank you Einstein I'd never thought of that.So you’re upset they don’t give out prints? It’s really not that difficult to measure and reverse engineer it. Or buy a barrel from someone who does AI prefits
Are the bipods really worth it over a “atlas”I have a question about the short actions:

They can be. But they have some special caveats. Are the bipods really worth it over a “atlas”
Thanks
What he said, but I would emphasize the lowering of the CoG, which is why I use them. They can be. But they have some special caveats.
But they have the most natural NPA cant feeling. Really quite special in that regard. You don’t have to totally lock off the cant (although you can) and the gun kind of ”levitates” but is totally controllable. Unique and awesome.
- Sorta dedicated to one rifle or at least a group of rifles with the same barrel-to-mounting-point distance
- Can be a bit of a hassle to mount, depending on the interface chosen. I’m looking into the QR versions (not talking about the Arca)
- I own a panner. If you want to leave the panner version on the gun when placing it into a case, you have to take some precautions otherwise much scratcho will occuro. (Pool noodle over barrel…Dale the owner of EI does this too, or maybe RedBreast21’s idea of stuffing an orange tough plastic shim in there…see his pic)
- Can only be mounted waaaayyy out there, so if you have a short bench to shoot from, you’re SOL.
And they fold up narrow so you don’t have to remove them to get them in most cases but they offer the same or more stability of wide-boi bipods (which don’t fit in cases well).
Oh yeah, in my mind I was comparing them to my LRA Lite-Tactical F-Class (what a name!), which has a comparable low CoG.What he said, but I would emphasize the lowering of the CoG, which is why I use them.
See my sig. As much as I want to love the rifle, AI (the company) keeps kicking me in the balls.
I can get shit on for free at work and home.

It about customer support. And lack thereof for a long list of items, of which this is just the latest.
I'm not a bigshot in the industry, so I can just fuck off. Message received.
