That would be a pretty heavy rig for matches but I am sure someone will do it
There's no such thing as "pretty heavy rigs for matches" at this day and age...
@96C buy it and see if you can get comfortable shooting it before selling the AX308

good background reading in this threadKeen to hear your thoughts on how practical the AXSR is for that type of shooting.
Does anyone have plans to run their AXSR with a 308 bolt (chambered in 6mm Creed / 6.5mm Creed etc.) for PRS matches?
I have an elite sand AXSR in 300NM on order currently. I like the idea of getting a 308 bolt for a 6 or 6.5mm Creed barrel when they become available next year... Might keep the AX308 or to sell it off if it becomes redundant.
Keen to hear your thoughts on how practical the AXSR is for that type of shooting.
Need your help AXSR owners.
Can you please give me an END to END measurement with the stock folded (with the factory 27" barrel with muzzle brake fitted).
Also, if possible a bottom of grip to top of optic measurement (with scope and rings type please).
Any help would be excellent.
Working on something.![]()
A little bit under 41 inches folded.
About 11.5 inches to the top of the turret.
S&B 3x27 with a Eratac mount.
As pictured...

I just took delivery of a FDE in 300WM yesterday. Very impressive to say the least. I will need a 308 bolt as well.
Does anyone know what type of metal the action is made out of? I tried to find it in the manual but it doesn't mention anything.
Uhhh steel?
They are now listed on EO’s site.Any idea when we will see left handed axsr’s?
Frank mentioned he’s putting together an AI interview podcast this week so I’m going to assume it will have some estimated dates and details for a lot of stuff about to drop.Called them and they have no idea. For anyone who’s curious.
I’ve got a bag rider in work right now that I think is a superior design to what’s on the market. Standby, I’ll have more to show soon (waiting on a couple 3D prints to finish). What bag rider is everyone using?
im thinking about getting the bugholes AX bag rider
JB.IC if you are interested in this one PM me. Here is a picture of the green version and working on a brown one. What bag rider is everyone using?

Does anyone know if barrels will be different from the AXMC?
It’ll clear. I run a 4602 on the 20moa and it’s goodSince these are 20 moa rails, do you think a Spuhr 4302 with NF 7-35 will clear the top rail, or just a bit too much causing the bell of the scope to touch? I've got a Vortex RZR HDII 4.5-27 in one on my M&P 10 Thompson Center (pretty sure it's a 0 base) with AADLAND covers, and barley clears. Would like to go with 4302, but thinking 4002 might be best?
and that is with scope covers, or just scope? If I can run that mount, I'd prefer that more as this is going to be a long range rig. It’ll clear. I run a 4602 on the 20moa and it’s good
I run the tier one 6mil base on mine with a ZCO 527 and I have plenty of room with the sun shade and tenebraex covers. In fact just ordered the scope chaps and they require .2 of clearance.Since these are 20 moa rails, do you think a Spuhr 4302 with NF 7-35 will clear the top rail, or just a bit too much causing the bell of the scope to touch? Yes with scope coversand that is with scope covers, or just scope? If I can run that mount, I'd prefer that more as this is going to be a long range rig.
Picked up a couple 308 mags as SA parts become available. Approximately 2.96", sorry if this is old hat...but I'm new to the real AI club (waiting on 300nm) and excited lol and figured I'd share a pic of them for reference.

Yeah I switched over to those as soon as Mile High got them...not needing that mag well adapter meant one less thing to forget.
Yeah, feeds fine...rounds sit where they otherwise would with the SA mag well
Anyone hear when the bolt bodies will start shipping this month?
I had my guy at eurooptic reach out to AI and confirm what was needed for a complete 308 bolt. These are the two parts he had me order.Does anyone happen to know if the firing pin assembly is the same for both .308 and 300wm bolts? I placed a backorder on the .308 bolt and only had one option for firing pin shroud/assembly with no description.
Ok perfect yeah I did get those just Elite sand instead of the black shroud. Appreciate it.I had my guy at eurooptic reach out to AI and confirm what was needed for a complete 308 bolt. These are the two parts he had me order.

So you have to have the bolt body and firing pin assembly to convert to 308 bolt face?I had my guy at eurooptic reach out to AI and confirm what was needed for a complete 308 bolt. These are the two parts he had me order.

no, you need both parts if you want two complete bolts and dont want to take them apart when you switch calibers. So you have to have the bolt body and firing pin assembly to convert to 308 bolt face?
I thought that it was just a bolt body and you can install the existing firing pin assembly to convert to a 308 bolt face?
I thought that as well looking at the asr video since it appears to just be a bolt w/o firing pin in the case which one would assume they are interchangeable. The manual doesn't show changing firing pin assemblies either. I definitely would like to save $600 if that's the case. I've not been able to get a response from AI though. So you have to have the bolt body and firing pin assembly to convert to 308 bolt face?
