So here’s a crazy idea — I’ve seen people put AX stocks on ATs. Has anyone tried going the other way around and putting an AT thumbhole stock on an AX? Does that even work? I’m a big fan of the OG thumbhole look that carries the classic AI DNA.

@eo3x0 for the life of me, I can’t find the pic, I used to have it, but there should be a pic floating around with an AICS 2.0 butt stock on an AX chassis. By far the best looking combo I’ve seen.

No need for that -- I actually like the thumbhole skin enough that I've ordered an AICS 2.0 + thumbhole skin set to dress up an old 700 I have lying around (pics to come). So I should have all the parts I need if I ever wanna go frankenAI.

Beautiful. I understand the functionality of the skeletonized buttstock (for capturing the bolt), but this just looks so good. It's too bad AI has gone a completely different design direction.

If this is one person who owns all these, who are you and when would you like to go shooting That is one sweet group of rifles (and optics)! Trigger time is up north of me in Longmont,CO, I've never been to their Pro Shop, but next time I head up to Mile High I should go check them out. That camo pattern on the brown/tan AI AX (second from the left) is really nice, I could see me doing something similar with my AT...

The question I have now is what caliber. My AT handles both 308 and 6.5 Creedmoor.

Not sure I want to run the AXMC short action in 6.5 CM as I already have that. What caliber would you guys choose if you were thinking of adding a new short action caliber to your stable

I've been pondering both the 6mm GT and the 25 Creedmoor with Blackjack 131gr ACE bullets. Shot @canezach 's 25 Creedmoor this past weekend and loved it, extremely flat... he was at 14.2 mils for 1660 yards and I was at 18.5 mils with my 6.5 Creedmoor at the same distance. Granted all I had on hand were factory Hornady 147 Match, but even with handloads I can't get that flat out of my 6.5 Creedmoor. And it's not so much how flat it shoots because we can always adjust our elevation, it's wind, I hold wind, and the less I have to hold the less errors I make
