Hmmm okayTheir newer style guns do absolutely nothing for me, leave the cheese grater front ends on my AR’s. Give me thumbhole or give me death.

I think he means use plugsGood way to get hearing damage

The actual shoe broke ?I've had two OEM triggers break, one on my pre-14 AX and one on my AT. Mile High warrantied them no questions, but if they were overtorqued it happened at the factory or Mile High, I never moved them. I eventually replaced them both with flat bows but it was still annoying.
For someone that didn't have the luxury of living 3 miles from Mile High I can see where it would be a nightmare.
Can you put the flat face "comp trigger" shoe on the factory one?
The actual shoe broke ?
I'll just add trigger shoe to the list of shit that breaks on the world's toughest military sniper rifle![]()
I've seen alot of "toughest items" broken by marines. Most things aren't marine proof lol.And mag latch.....sigh
I'm not really an ACOG fan... But that's about as close as I've found to 'Marine-proof'.I've seen alot of "toughest items" broken by marines. Most things aren't marine proof lol.
Just returned from shooting mine today. GTAC conversion along with sam’s thumb shelf. No issues at all.Would like some help... Bought a 17 AIAX used that has the Gtac conversion on it. I would like a thumb shelf but understand the anarchy offering wont work with the conversion - right? Best way to accomplish?
Appreciate the thoughts
I saw 60 shooters from a battalion that just got back from AFGAHN with broken collimators. Idk how the fuck it happened.I'm not really an ACOG fan... But that's about as close as I've found to 'Marine-proof'.
yeah they dont ship to Oz. All good.![]()

Have the carbon version of that on order for my AWM.I haven't been on this product page for a while so I'm not sure when this note was added. So, we'll see the AI parts in 2026-2027 timeframe then?
I would do unspeakable things for a thumbhole AT in PRC.

I’m familiar with the Trophyhunter/Bugholes conversions, I’d just prefer factory supported/endorsed parts. They have been available for over two years …you just have to know the right people….or use the search function hahah

Opening the bolt face for a cartridge that's even higher pressure than 6.5CM just doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies. It’s only 3 parts and It uses all factory parts..it just open up the bolt face…I would highly recommend not waiting
Barrel, bolt, mag
But if the brits say it's fine, then you're Ok with it...?Opening the bolt face for a cartridge that's even higher pressure than 6.5CM just doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies.
Well, they are the ones warrantying the rifle, so...But if the brits say it's fine, then you're Ok with it...?
We won the war so we wouldn't be controlled by them. Didn't know you were anti American.Well, they are the ones warrantying the rifle, so...
Hahaha you think a 6.5 prc is endangering the pressure limits of a AI bolt and actionOpening the bolt face for a cartridge that's even higher pressure than 6.5CM just doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies.
I’d love to see all the objective analysis you’ve performed and data you’ve collected that distinguishes you as an SME on AI action yield strengthHahaha you think a 6.5 prc is endangering the pressure limits of a AI bolt and actionNot even close

Kinda like this one?We at AI manufacture bolt heads and bolt bodies to our designs. These designs have been tested with barrel block testing to prove they are safe.
The bolt head material is a very high tensile strength steel which is also very expensive. We assemble those components to our process and every bolt is proof tested in a CIP Proof House in England. We have built tens of thousands of these over the years and continue to produce them daily.
If someone outside of AI tampers with one of our bolt heads then that is a safety concern. Our designs will have been changed, it is unlikely they have had barrel block testing and they almost certainly do not undergo proof testing.

What do you use for a magazine with the 7 saum? Modified Accurate mag?View attachment 7875755
Of course AI is going to say that, you think AI is going to take liability for other peoples work? And I was talking about a post with the actual psi number, I’ve been shooting mine as well as many others with 0 issues for over a year… if you don’t want to do it that’s fine I was just under the impression you wanted to do the same so I was going to give you some contact info like I’ve done numerous times to others looking to do the short mag conversion.. of course I don’t shoot 6.5 prc I shoot the Lords Caliber ..7 SAUM
That looks like the groups I just shot with my ax308. Mine was with m118lr and my attempt to clone it. First pic is clone and I pulled one left as I coughed when taking up the first stage on the trigger and pulled right through.View attachment 7876113
Cherry-picked, yeah, but even as my cherry-picked groups go, it’s good for me (dislike recoil). I like this AXSA (in god’s color of course you heathens).
No rifle pics as the scope is so high I would be mocked mercilessly lol. What can I say…I like my head to be straight up and I don’t shoot prone.
I thought the same thing when I went and grabbed the targetLol you drew a dick with the second group
You mean AT-X keyslot*Lol you drew a dick with the second group

They have mag bolt face short action bolts some where but are not selling them yet. They do have prc rifles just not offering them. I don’t think the caliber matters. There is a max pressure standard so doesn’t matter if it’s 65,000 psi from a 223 or 338 it’s still 65,000psi.You do realise that the short action AI was made with a 3 lug bolt right , and later they used the same size dia bolt and just put another row of shorter lenght lugs on the bolt head to enable the action to use 300WM & 338LM rounds, back in the old days .
And the newr AX/AT short action uses this bolt head with a smaller dia firing pin .
So if it can take the beating from a 300WM or 338LM , I think it MAY be able to hand a little 6.5 PRC , quite easily , also they use to run the std 3 lug AW rifle with a over pressure 308 ammo , that was 1/2 way between the 308win & 300WM in performance , Lapua HPS .
