Accuracy International Picture Thread

Put some more rounds through the AT-X today. Was getting consistent hits at 1,100 yards off the bag.

Took a couple of new shooters out today. He hadnt shot anything bigger than a .223 and his wife had never shot any sort of firearm. We started with rimfires and worked up to the .338, both managed to get sub moa groups at 100 with the 22-250 and the .260 barrels on the AT. Finished up with a couple of shots each out of the AWSM. Always a good feeling sending people home with a smile on their face. Too busy supervising to take photos so staged these before we packed up.

First time AI owner, owning an AI has always been a holy grail gun for me. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase, had to give it a proper camo job because black guns are boring

AT-X 6.5 Creedmoor
NF NX8 2.5-20
SilencerCo Specwar 7.62 with Dead Air Xeno mount

100%. My AI AT became my favorite rifle over night. Wouldn’t rethink my purchase for a second

Anyone know if there's any aftermarket Cheek pieces for ATs?

I already have the saddle blanket and the wiebad pad.. and that Victor company one looks the same as the original.

I was wondering if there were any of a completely different design. I'm guessing not.

I Noticed that they sell two separate aw magazines for the AI. One is sold for the At and one for the AT-x. Has anyone noticed more reliability when shooting 6br with the new mags. The older AT mags have been a pain even with the hrd kit. I’m constantly getting my last round nose diving inside the magazine.

I could be wrong. But the AW and AT share the 0726 magazine and the AX and AT-x share the 6677 magazine. Although the AT-x has its own magazine that is now sorta out.

The 6677 has a lip on the top front of the magazine to keep it elevated.

That said I have two 6677 magazines I've used with hrd kits. One feeds flawless and the other will feed rounds 10-4 and I get nosedives with 3rds left occasionally.

The Victor Company offering is almost the same dimension and fit as the original, but is made out of some material that IS more grippy and comfortable without the addition of blanket or pad.

Out of interest what are you after / hoping for? Lower comb height, different shape etc?
Different shape I think. Current one is quite wide and thick.. I think I'd prefer something a little more streamlined.

Ah right okay. So more grip and padding without beefing up the size of it.

I thought the trigger issues were fixed? Anyone know what build years that the issue was resolved?
They get resolved when you throw em in the trash and get the regular trigger pack.

I really don't get how they could make the things AI does and fail so hard at a "comp" trigger. I won't own one and it doesn't effect me personally but it's one of the things that drive me nuts about AI. They should have that barret contract.

And the regular trigger isn’t bad in the first place

What happened to your trigger?
The short answer is sand.

Subjecting guns to this blowing sandy crap for a couple matches every month makes them not feel too good. I've seen several triggertech diamonds stop functioning during matches since moving here last year. The AXSR trigger pack started having intermittent failures to release at a match 2 weeks back. I've never had any kind of malfunction with the system before this. I see lots of AICS style mags malfunction from the sand.

AI said they just wanted me to send the whole gun in to assess. To their credit they turned it around within 6 hours of receiving it. Which is good because I need it for the Coal Canyon match in Raton next week, so I can look cool while missing targets.

Agreed original trigger always fine IMO.

For the record; the comp trigger is nice and I haven’t had any issues with it up to this point.
Agreed I never felt I needed lighter than the regular trigger can give. My tighter groups I've ever shot have been with the AI trigger at a combined 3lbs give it take.

I will say even my rem700 fancy triggers I've never run less than 1.25# though and even then that's only one gun. Everything else is 2#+. I feel like anything super light is a crunch but that's just my opinion that probably is very unpopular in the match scene.
