I have a hard time believing it’s the AXSR only because if it was, wouldn’t it just be called AXSR and not the AX MKIII ?‍♂️
The rifle formally known as AXSR ?

Mile High and EuroOptic both have had greyed-out AXSR profiles on their websites, all with long-action magnum calibers. I can't imagine the AXSR isn't the AX MKIII if they're both magnum/multi-cal platforms. The rifle in the advertisement looks exactly like the ASR, just with KeySlot instead of M-Lok.

You heathen! How could you de-bond an AI??? haha

Wish MPA would've at least not milled out the bolt relief for a RH action...

A little heat never hurt anyone ?

Yeah and they didn’t do a good job on milling the left side for the bolt handle. Had to go in there and open it up because the bolt wouldn’t close. On the flip side if I ever want to sell it; it’s a ambi chassis now ?

Saw this on AI’s Facebook. Must be the AXSR.

^^^ The keyslot leads me to believe you're correct.
Yeah that was my thinking also. I asked directly and they responded with “AX MKIII”

That's the AXSR...... been announced last year at SHOT. Nothing new.

Now, if you have a short action version or that MC Fiddy, now we're f*ing talking...

@blbennett1288 Just wait for the AXSR instead of getting an ASR
Can only repeat what AI has been saying social media, so dont shoot the messenger, but evidently this is not the AXSR

It’s also a flyer for the British shooting show, so maybe it’s a UK-specific variant? I would assume the US rifle (whatever it’s called) will be at SHOT Show next week.

Tell me about that Leica optic

Leica magnus 2.4-16x56, and I think it’s utterly brilliant.

As you can see I have it on my AT, which I’ve attempted a lightweight set up with the proof carbon barrel. I used to use this a hunting / range cross over, as such used to wear either a March 3-24x42 or an S&B ultrashort.

For now I’ve abandoned that idea and use it solely for hunting so wanted something more applicable.

The Leica glass is just something else. Until you use it in real life situations you then start to tell the difference. Sublime. (Comparison between Minox ZP5, a few PMii’s, March - not from memory but side to side)
I don’t know if it’s the 56mm objective, glass/coatings but it is significantly brighter in low light and gives you the edge at dusk when it starts to get busy. The illumination is simple, easy & very effective and has two switches, day light / low light giving you around 60 different brightness to get it just right. Eyebox is perhaps best I’ve experienced. Again giving you a slight advantage in snap shooting you can get straight on it.

It has a BDC Ret along with BDC turret. I’m very lucky that one ballistic profile fits my curve to the tee. From 100-600m. So it’s as simple as ranging it and clicking to the distance on the turret. My only criticisms are they the clicks, but only have gen 1. This may have been fixed on gen2? For love or money I can’t find an eyepiece cap.

Was and am a FFP fan boy, but for exclusivity hunting I’m finding the SFP refreshing.

Can’t see me changing this set up! Happy man

clubsportmark, do you happen to know the weight of your AT as it sits?

Sure. Last time I weighed it it had a moderator fitted as well and came in at 6.9kg or 15.2lbs. (Includes everything you also see, scope, mounts, mini red dot, Sam’s spigot, atlas PSR etc)

It’s not light weight by any means but I get on ok. It balances very nicely which helps and I find with a Tab gear biathlon sling it’s extremely comfortable for when walking about.

I have a couple thousand rounds of 220 grain 300 win mag. I would like a super accurate 300 win mag - magazine fed gun. When I look at all the AI options, I get dizzy and just leave the page.
Any suggestions? I like super accurate (ie small groups) I don’t shoot competitively, and I have a dozen or more hunting rifles-so I don’t need it for hunting. Help?

Black, Dark Earth, Pale Brown, Sage Green

20” or 24” barrel

Those are the only things you need to decide now

Sorry for the questions- I ordered this last night- https://www.milehighshooting.com/ax-mc-300-wm-rifle-system-26-standard-muzzle/

I am a hunter first but I like guns that are super accurate a long way out.

all of my hunting glass is 2nd Focal Plain. Is there a compelling reason to go first vocal plain for this gun?

is S&B that much better than Nightforce? I like my
Swarovski much better than the one S&B that I had.

With a precision rifle rifle you likely won’t always be using your scope at its max power which is generally where the reticle in a second focal plain scope’s graduations are accurate.

With a first focal plain scope the graduations on the reticle are always accurate.

At distance when dailing for elevation and holding for wind age you won’t have to worry if the graduations are correct.

If you hold 1mil for wind in a ffp scope it won’t matter what power you are on. In a sfp scope to hold 1mil for wind you will have to be on max power or a correct lower power for a graduation to equal 1mil. (I hope that explanation makes sense). Basically FFP is simpler to use in the field shooting long range.

As to the Nightforce vs Schmidt I think it boils down to preference. I run a Schmidt as it’s has the features and reticle I prefer.

If I were looking to put glass on an AXMC I would be looking at the ZCO 5-27 with MPCT2 reticle. It has the features I would prefer for a 300WM precision rifle.

I've just bought an AXMC, any worthwhile accessories to grab before the wife checks the bank account? I run arca on my other rifles so may as well get a HRD rail. Is it worth getting the 11" over the 9"?

Accuracy obsession thumb rest and cheek piece from anarchy outdoors, pva muzzle brake, ai comp trigger (optional) and you're set.

I've been told AO can't export to Aus, so the first two will probably be out. How good are the PVA brakes over other options? (APA and Area 419 are the easiest to obtain here). Piqued curiosity on the AI comp trigger though, worth the swap?

HR1 rail from Michael Victor?

I looked into sorting one of these to Aus, and they look fantastic, but might be a bit cost prohibitive to get into Aus at the moment. Our dollar has gravel rash on its nutsack from how low its dragging at the moment.

I've owned every brake made by PVA and they are amazing. The recoil reduction is obviously most important and it does a great job but what else is awesome is the lack of concussion from the blast. I've used other brakes and after a day of shooting, I could feel the effects of the concussion in my head and sinuses. I dont get that from PVA brakes, especially the Jet4 brake. YMMV but I'm sold on them. Anarchy outdoors carried the thumb rests and check pieces from AO and I'd bet they can export. The comp trigger is awesome. I love it. It was worth the money. As long as you dont get rid of the 1st stage and make it a single stage trigger (which you can), u shouldn't have any reliability issues at all
