Picked this up yesterday, same comments I'm sure as everyone else made when they bought their first AI. Definitely wasted too much time and money on customs guns. Should have just grabbed one of these, the bolt lift is lighter and smoother than my tempests. Unsure whether I send this off for a lick of paint yet or if I'm going to swap this barrel for a 28" 338LM carbon instead. I will definitely be grabbing a .308 boltface when one pops up and will keep my ears to the ground for short action ASR mags hitting our shores.

Apologies for the delay in replying below fellas, juggling a few things this week, and children. And their flailing arms makes it more so challenging to juggle, especially my eldest.
I received a response and AO can export to Aus mate, but after setting up the rifle, unsure whether I need the cheek piece yet. I'll be moving states this year so will convert this to a folder and grab that thumbrest though, I definitely think that will be of benefit. AO has some great things on that site, had to stop myself going down the rabbit hole.
The PVA only goes up to 30 cal? I think I'll be swapping the brake out on this one sooner than later. I'll give this a run and see if I can get hands on a comp trigger.
Are there any Rem 700 triggers out yet that come close to the AI trigger?
They certainly do... color coordinated for your stock... I believe the largest is 1/2 “... you’ll need longer screws to thread through... all factory / OEM spec’d. Good luck!Just installed the AX conversion on the AT. LOP is a bit short, even maxed out. Please tell me they make spaces for the AX Buttstock ??

I absolutely love the AX buttstock, I agree $750 is an expensive upgrade however I think it enhanced the rifle. I really prefer the right side folder.
Always looking for new members, but you have to bring your own coffee...What a great club... and they serve coffee - looking for new members? ? 400 yards is ideal... looks like a nice range - what grain bullet were you pushing?
Who did your ceracote work? That looks really nice...

Right side folder makes it worth it in my book.
That black stock and B/A with green skins looks downright killer! To me defiantly worth the price. View attachment 7235380View attachment 7235381

Took the AT out today. Only shot it with the 6.5 creedmoor barrel. Sadly only has access to 100y today. But I was shooting some hand loads I had built for another gun I no longer have. And the AI really liked them. First 3 rounds to confirm zero then I shot a loaded shotgun round that was stuck in the cardboard. I couldn’t believe it when I found the head. Shot a few 5 round groups and did the dot drill. Every time I shoot this gun it makes me even happier that I purchased it.
That looks like an incredible setup.
What length barrel is that?
Best I can do is side-by-side. Optic is Pantone;Has anyone got a pic of a sage green AX with a Pantone/RAL8000 S&B on it? Trying to decide on a cerakote colour
Speaking of sage green. Has it been dropped for the AXSR?
It’s talon grips. It’s the ruber one. But they have a sandpaper like one too. What sort of tape is on the pistol grip?
Awesome.. I didn’t know they made these. ThanksIt’s talon grips. It’s the ruber one. But they have a sandpaper like one too.

View attachment 7236141cleaning my rifle, noticed these scratches on the bolt face, you can feel them with your finger nail. Anything I should be concerned about? Never fired any powerful hand loads, just mils to moderate ones, factory federal fgmm and prime 65cm.
cant get my iPhone to focus that close, but if you zoom the picit should show up.
Call up Mile High and ask, the pamphlet was at their booth. I think they said it would be $12.5k. Not offered in LH though, so I have an excuse not to pick one up LOLI NEED to know more about this! lol
+1 for the PLRFTook the girls out to play yesterday.
AX HR1 HANDGUARDS from Victor Company works perfectly.
Check out these guys. https://www.milehighshooting.com/Hey all, I picked up a used AE MK III, and liking it a lot. However, it has a fixed stock and I'd like to convert it to a folder if possible. I'm not very familiar with how AI rifles and parts work, but it looks pretty modular based off the website and the stock itself.
Where can I pick up a folder? It looks like I'll need just the hinge part and bolt it on to replace the fixed part, but I can't find what I'm looking for online. Are there any other parts I'd need to switch out?

Still not seeing anything, am I misunderstanding how this chassis works? I haven't taken it apart yet but to my eye it looks like I can just drop in a hinge where currently there's a fixed portion, right above the thumbhole.Check out these guys. https://www.milehighshooting.com/
