I got the scope mounted up on my cheap 10/22 build last night and took it to sight in today.
To start off the groups could have been better but it was a good weather for shooting when the wind died down.
Rifle- mostly stock 10/22 with a 20" Green Mountain barrel, and a Boyd's Tacticool stock.
I started out at 25 yards to get on paper, the scope was dead on with the windage and only needed to come up about 4" to be pretty close to dead on. With good lighting I was able to see even the smallest print on the target edges.
The glass on this scope was plenty clear to see .22 holes out to the 200yd line, I even scored a few X's at that distance. (Not my target in picture)
I was able to see the trace and walk my rounds on target with no issue.
The parallax was easy to set at all distances and once again was almost dead on with the turret markings.
There was some distortion of the colors at higher magnification, and the eye box got a little tight, but it was still plenty usable. I spent most of the day shooting between 10-18x.
The only issue I had was opening the scope cap for maybe the 10th time the spring popped out so I pulled it out with a multitool and rotated it so it opens down at a 45 degree angle. I've seen a ton of popular scope caps brands have the same issue.
I bumped the scope around with my hand a little and it held zero just fine. I'm also growing to like the reticle it's easy to use and the gaps help you to remember where you were holding quickly.
The only small issue is in bright
light even at the brightest setting the illumination is hard to see, but it works great any other time. It doesn't blow out the glass with a red haze the way a lot of other cheaper scopes do.
The only thing I'd really want added to this scope would be a zero stop, but it's not a deal breaker.
All in all I'd definitely recommend this scope for a budget build.
