I heard about AR style rifles being over gassed, but never gave it much thought. Thought they were just another gimmick...Whatever. I bought a JP Enterprises adjustable gas block for my LR308 to see if it really did anything. After I got it installed and adjusted I removed it to see where it ended up at. It ejects the brass properly has less "thump" on recoil. The gas port is 3/4 CLOSED OFF. Geez! No accuracy benefit I can see, but noticeable recoil reduction and can stay on target better. Guess they actually are worth it and you don't beat your gun to death. I'd recommend them now.

I have 2 ar10s that would almost rip the case head off, have failure to feeds or just throw brass everywhere until i put pri adjustable gas blocks on them with the set screw turned out about 4 1/2 turns. I think they make a world of difference. I also have 2 ar 10s that work just fine with non adjustable gas blocks. Its just hit or miss. Like already said anything has benifits with adjustability.

Yep, I love the ability to adjust the gas on my .308 with the Syrac gas block. It along with the JP Captured recoil system really change the feel of shooting a gas gun.

Thant is a nice one , it has click adjustment, right?
I'd like to get one for my build , but I'm not sure if they make a .936" for heavy barrel , I know they make a .750"

I've used the PRI on a 308 AR and it made a nice difference. I'm building a 6.8X43 and plan on running the hottest loads I can within safety and accuracy margins. I put a Seekins adjustable on it. In addition to the adjustable gas screw, there's a brass set screw which faces towards the receiver. The idea with this screw, according to Seekins, is that you can still adjust the gas screw a few times if need be before having to tighten the set screw again (e.g switching loads or to a suppressor and back again). Depending on the handguard though, you may be able to get an allen wrench on it. I can with the MCSR rail:

I installed a complete JP system on my last build. I went with a white oak barrel with Noveske upper and lower. The first time I shot it I thought I was wasted a ton of money. Once I grabbed my other M4 I couldn't believe the difference. Less recoil and almost no muzzle climb. I have the adjustable block, lightweight carrier, and their buffer and spring.

I just finished a seekins build yesterday. It's the first adjustable gas block I've used, it's a syrac, and combined with the jp silent spring buffer and a liberty torch, it sounded great! It's adjusted to where it locks back on an empty mag suppressed, it's a target rifle so that's the way it will be shot. It also made the rifle seem quieter than my other ARs. Im sold on them,I will be getting another.
