Does anyone have experience or recommendations for changing the fixed recoil pad to an adjustable? Or not necessarily "adjustable" but maybe raised?? The stock is an HS Precision from a Rem 700 LTR. I would like to raise the recoil pad about 1" to fit my shoulder pocket better and get off my collar bone in the prone. I don't care about tilt, just vertical.

I recently got behind several stocks/chassis and realize the drop at the comb on the Rem stock is not what I need in the prone. The straight lines of a McMillan or a chassis feel way better. I don't want to put too much $ into this since it will eventually get replaced with a Bravo or chassis. There seems to be stuff from Midway or Brownells, but they look gimmicky. The alternative of course is @jducos .

What say ye?

McMillan has adjustable stock accessories:

I used a Tubb 4-way buttplate on my Palma rifle, but no longer available

I took a Morgan vertical adjuster plate and fit it to my McMillan. Not pretty, but works.

Thanks smoothy. The Morgan plate looks like what i might need. If i got into the McMillan stuff, I'd just sent it to jducos.

Anyone else???
