I have seen brand new TRG 22's for $2200 bucks that can be had by anybody. thats a pretty dang good buy for what you get.</div></div>
I've heard claims like this, but would love to know how those businesses are selling a new-in-box rifle well below dealer cost... </div></div>
Business sell items below cost all the time. Some business models use "lost leaders" to get customers in. Its really business 101. Nothing new. </div></div>
Loss leaders are a quick way to generate a lot of sales, and often the customers are so excited to have gotten a good deal they spend excessive amounts on accessories and other items, often becoming longer term customers of the vendor.
It's a pretty foundational business tactic that's been known to work when employed correctly.
However, in the case of a rifle and at such a lower cost it seems suspect to me that you'd make up the difference so easily. I'd like a link to these 2200$ TRG's. That could almost sway me to stop saving for the AIAEmkII I've been dreaming of.
Of course, I want the folder so I can carry it on a backpack so I can ride a motorcycle to the range. I'd look kinda suspect with a big ole TRG hanging out of my backpack
</div></div>
You want a link....PLEASE
You dont even have to leave this sight to see that ! the Euro optic folks are selling TRG 42's for $2200 with that exact tactic. They 42's are more than the TRG 22's at any price level regardless of MAP,dealer, distributor,GSA or retail. The 22's have been availible for $2200 several times the second half of this year alone.
Consider yourself "almost swayed" per your words.
sub,
out. </div></div>
Cheapest one I see on their webpage is 2698$? I haven't been keeping a close eye on the various web retailers pricing on TRG22's because I'm not in the market for one. Sounds like a good deal which is why I asked.
