Not clone correct but has anyone gotten their hands on the AEM5K yet? I think it might fit the RECCE a little better. Would be 2” shorter with the K can. I kicked around doing the AEM2 or 3 for the RECCe build but I didn’t want another 14.5” so I kept the 2.5” spacing. This can seems to fill the niche I was looking for.

Curious how it performs. I expect a little louder but with less baffles, I wonder how gassy it is compared to the full size can and what the time is like.

If you're not worried about clone correct the Otter Creek Labs OCM/AEM Hub mount let's you turn any can with HUB threads into a OTB can that fits the AEM/OCM barrel mounts.

That’s pretty neat from OCL.

My main reason to try a K can on the RECCE is I was planning on using it for 2gun/run and gun this year. I’m torn on it, as I am finding it’s easier for me to over drive the rifle with the can on. To date, I have competed more with a 7.62RC2 than any other can, but both the AEM5 and the RC2 weigh about the same. I was hoping the arm5k would be lighter and shorter, which is kind of is. Trouble is, I stuck with the brake instead of running something like the Smith Enterprise Flash hider or the OCL bird cage so this thing has some pop and I really like the can on these guns.

Maybe I just stick with my 14.5s… but I’ve wanted to run the mk12s through Legion for awhile now. This RECCE was my thought in a compromise. I’m probably over thinking this shit….

If money isn't a problem I'd suggest the OCL Hydrogen K 6.5 and the OCM HUB adapter. The combo would offer good suppression and be sub 10 oz. If money is an issue then maybe go OCL polonium K or AB A-10 and the OCM adapter. Those would be sub 14 oz, full auto rated, and your added length would only be around 4" with decent suppression.

I think there are some new low back pressure K cans out there that would also work but I wouldn't expect much suppression. Those are more like slightly quieter blast deflectors.
