Has anyone had any experiences with these stocks? What did you like and dislike?
The company itself has been fantastic so far, with customer service exceeding my expectations.

I am looking to building a hunting rifle. Remington 700 LA Rem/Age 30-06.
I am trying to decide on which model of stock I should go with and would like some suggestions?

I'm in the same boat as you are. I decided to pick up their Alpine Hunter for my 7 SAUM build that I'm doing. From everything I researched, they seem pretty solid. Currently a 10 week lead time.

I have one and have another alpine hunter on order. Great quality and reasonable lead time. Fit was spot on.

I recently completed a build for a client. AG Composites Sportsman, Rem. 700, Proof Sendero, Jewell, 300 Win.Mag. 3/8 Sub, MOA shooter, with Hornady precision hunter ammo.
Really couldn't be happier with the AG both client and i. It's a good good solid stock on par with McMillan or Manners. As promised delivery.

For me, I think that I'll like the Alpine Hunter better for my build. I was also considering the privateer, but decided on a lighter scope to offset the 7 ounce difference. I do agree with you that the customer service is top notch. I called, and had my stock ordered in under 10 minutes. They'll also inlet for the Lone Peak Fuzion Ti medium action, which is what sold me on them.

I have one on my spun up rem 700 6.5 creed, it fits the action perfectly. Also, I kind of have small hands but the stock feels great in them. The wieght was damn near as advertised, i believe it was just slightly higher. Im most likely gonna grab one for my rem 300 win mag .

Which model did you go with?

It sounds like you didn't bed it. Does it shoot great?

Sorry if not the advice your looking for. But id also take a hard look at the allterra / axial precision carbon stock. Ordered mine last year and its at ts customs rn.

The comb height to bore line is perfect imo and something a lot of stocks get wrong. The grip feels similar to a mcmillan but with a touch more forward angle.

I ordered mine in the lightest config and its like 25ish oz for a LA with bdl config. Its 550ish and mine took like 8 weeks last year

I like my adjustable chalk branch. Haven’t bedded yet, using Hawkins precision bottom metal with an ARC Nucleus. Feels good, and it’s reasonably lightweight.

Springfield got them to do a Manners EH1 look-a-like for their new Waypoint Rifle...so, that's an endorsement of sorts as well as a model you can inquire about with them directly perhaps.

That's actually a pretty hot looking stock. I've been looking for a reverse comb made by folks that pay their bills and that doesn't start out over a grand. At first blush, my gripes are but two:

1. Using the on-line configurator doesn't give the same freedom you get from some others (i.e. Manners and McMillan)
2. I don't see a .mil discount...and the difference is a set of dies, 8 lbs of powder (if you can find it), etc.

1. They keep options down to keep prices down; there’s a little bit more flexibility if you call. For example, I have left and right flush cups on the buttstock, which wasn’t an option on the website at the time; not sure if that’s changed.

2. I can almost guarantee they’d give you a .mil discount if you called them.

Yep gnoci is correct above. I initially ordered mine, got an email from them within a few days asking if i wanted to add flush cups, sling studs, or even attachment points for an arca rail.

Yes their stock builder isnt as great as mcmillan or manners, but rhey are a much smaller shop. But they will ask you if you need a specific action for inlet. Since i was going to have ts customs bed it anyways, i had them inlet for standard rem 700 for my lone peak action. They also added in 2 sling studs upfront and 1 at butt end without extra cost to me. Stock comes with pillars, but im leavin it up to ts customs to decide what they need to do.

They did factory inlet for my long action Hawkins bdl floorplate and it fit like a glove

That CAT stock looks nice! I think I’m leaning toward that.

I priced them out on their website and was around $650-700. I think at that price I would just got McMillan, unless I am missing something?

Bottom line is they are a really nice quality stock at a fair price with an acceptable lead time that they stick to.

I also have small hands and I am worried I will not be able to reach the trigger. Usually have to buy men’s small gloves.

I recently purchased an alpine hunter for a Tikka roughtech. The barrel isn’t fully free floated to the action. Is that normal? Should it be fully free floated all the way to the action?
