AICS compatibility?

Looking to get my GF into NRL.22 so she doesn’t get mad at how much time I spend at the range (Evil plan I know)

she sometimes has some dexterity problems in her hand suffering from lupus.
Looking at makes models of 22s/chassis that allow use of AICS style mags as she likes my vudoo but they are quite heavy for her (standing/unsupported stages)

she held my friends 455 in a At-one?stock I can’t believe the weight difference. Anyway what guns other than vudoo can use “big box” mags?

I think comparable R700 builds (Ultimatum, Zermatt RimX, Bergara B14R) is going to be relatively the same weight. If you want a lighter weight build, get a light weight barrel profile, or a Proof Carbon barrel.

If you want a super light build for her, then Vudoo, Proof Carbon barrel, and XLR chassis, their lightest one is like 2-3 lbs lighter than the traditional MPA/MDT chassis.

And there's other lighter traditional stocks I bet.

The Bergara B14R is available with a carbon barrel. That should decrease weight significantly.

Couple the carbon barreled action with a composite stock and you could shed a few lbs from the weight of your V22.

The KRG Bravo is the lightest full chassis I've seen.

However, a carbon/composite stock will be lighter. It's just a matter of how light do you want to pay for?

Money isn’t a huge factor - not looking to pay a million dollars or whatever but if she truely wants in, I’d like her to have the best gear she can hold. The vudoo ravage is a bit to bulky/heavy

Look at this , uses 10-22 mags iirc , if so easier to grip , the ranger

I remember reading a bit on the Vudoo thread about a guy wanting an ultra light squirrel hunting gun.. don’t remember what came of it all, except that the folks at Vudoo were more than happy and capable of helping with a light build.

Just add in, the Element 3.0 Magnesium's chassis block only weight 16 ounces. Pair that with a TR-2 buttstock, would make a great package.
