Aics monopod question

Hey guys,

I have recently been looking into a accushot monopod for my aics chassis. However when looking at examples online the aics specific models indicate that no modiication is needed for installation. There is no hole in the rear of my butt stock and it seems impossible to add this accessory without modiication. I have a 1.5 model is it just an older model or am I just not understanding where the device attaches?

It uses the hole for the lower recoil pad screw, but there should be a hole at the front in that position as well (it's been a while since I installed mine).

You will need to drill the hole in the front of the buttstock skin or upgrade your skins to the new viperskins with the v2 buttstock. I drilled mine initially but it was very finicky trykng to get the monopod locked in the up position due to bumping into the back of the thumbhole skin. The viperskins are a huge improvement in my opinion but I do prefer the pistol grip to the thumbhole.
