What if instead of getting Congress to pay for a wall we’ll increase subsidies to ranchers along the border to increase security for their valuable cattle? Perhaps a 30 foot razor wire barrier with a 30 foot wide ditch on the US side providing habitat for rattlesnakes and scorpions.

How about making the first 200 yards of America a free-fire zone?

Call it the "Rung Sat Mexican Special zone..."

Perhaps a 2X rebate for every dollar spent on security equipment... Rancher John secures his cattle with $50K worth of 'specified' hardware... it's a $100K rebate on taxes!

With bonuses for creativity!

Love it!

Cheers,

The government is always snatching land. How about simply expanding places like White Sands, China Lake and such to include border areas. I doubt they have tested butterfly mines in awhile.

Local governments can start by enforcing shit on the street level, and cooperating with the feds to enforce immigration and employment laws all over the board.

"Sanctuary cities" are what attracts swarms of these people, who go in, commit crimes, brazenly disrupt the peace, get drunk and urinate/defecate everywhere. The reason why they are still here is because there are STILL companies wanting to make easy and quick bucks by hiring illegals.

Hitting the leaves and flowers are not going to get rid of the weeds. You have to hit at the roots. Start conducting routine and unannounced audits of ALL local businesses. Business owners to be given documents to sign when they open their companies, stating that by conducting business in this area/country, 'you are hereby agreeing to be audited at any time by agents of the federal and local government for compliance with hiring codes'. Don't agree? Then you don't do business. Simple.

First time violation, $5000-$20,000 fine PER illegal employee found. Fine amounts depending on how much income the particular business makes. Second violation, fines PER illegal TRIPLES. Strike three, you close your doors. Once you are on the third strike that means you just don't know any better.

Money means EVERYTHING in society. What is the best way to get people to pay attention and know that you mean business? Hit em' in the wallet. With a system such as the above in place, I highly doubt that anyone is going to dick around for long. Bankruptcy, federal lawsuits and possibly prison are not pleasant.

"Sanctuary cities" are a big fuck you, to who? Just the people of that state, the country as a whole, or just the fed gov? I submit they are a FUCK YOU to all the,. Honest, hardworking, conservative people in this country. Welfare people love welfare people as they trade ways to game the system, an hate those who oppose their Free Shit in the first place. What better way to say FUCK YOU than by shoving it in your face.

One congress critter said that a wall is out of the question, but a fence might be acceptable. I can live with that, but here is my idea of an adequate fence: It is 40' tall made out of strong steel bars that no one can climb or squeeze through. There would be two fences separated by a no man's land, both would be topped with electric glass shards (even though not possible), and would have motion detecting, laser guided mini guns on towers every 50 yards, and there would be a no mans land between the two fences that would be patrolled by killer gnomes riding giant pit bulls that have razor sharp titanium teeth. See, a fence could work. (this is obviously humorous sarcasm..at least I hope it is obvious)

Might work, but we want LESS gov, not more oversight and search and seizure

There is an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone here:

Using a system of federal auditing to override any local sanctuary city nonsense. Then use this same federal power to override the gun bans and other unconstitutional practices that places like Chicago and NYC have been doing for quite some time. National reciprocity of carry licenses to apply too.

The key here would be focusing the powers of such government agencies to primarily deal with things that cause the country to suffer, financially and socially, such as illegal immigration. At the same time, the Bill Of Rights have to be strengthened with certain bold sentences so we don't have a system going out of control.

Even right now, we have certain 'privileges' that can be regulated to an extent. Driving an automobile and opening a business are not exactly rights, but privileges. Motor vehicle operators basically consent to being Breathalyzed when they get behind the wheel. Likewise, business owners should also consent to a few minor things that directly impact national security and financial stability of the country.

Just stop any and all benefits to illegals, can't obtain any for at least 5 years and have to prove you're working at obtaining citizenship and able to carry a conversation in English the problem should mostly fix itself.

Pretty much. Oh, but liberal democrats say illegals receive no aid of any kind. Right. So they come here with just the shirt on their back. No money. No job. No place to stay. No family (most). No food. No water. And they expect us to believe that bullshit?

If I were an illegal, and I crossed over into a country where I had no money. No shelter. No job. No clothes. No family. No food or water. And couldnt even speak the fucking language, it wouldnt take me long to turn my ass around and go back home.

Expand that to 500yds and clear the vegetation. I'm in.

Or........just correctly enforce the laws we already have. I agree with you, Blue Sky; not being argumentative. I just believe that we could do away with about 95% of the BULLSHIT laws on the books IF we CORRECTLY enforced the original ones

You're cool man, you are completely right. Just like the original gun laws and laws in general that are already in place to keep violent individuals from committing crimes. Instead of enforcing these, they continue heaping on BS that is putting us on a fast track to straight dystopia.

There are already regulations like I9 forms which require employee documentation at any workplace. The problem is that I9's are rarely checked at all.

Can't find the clip... but if anyone remembers John Wayne and The Green Berets movie... there is a great scene where the Navy Seabee on the bulldozer says "I'll push that brush line all the way to China if you want!"

Push that line all the way to %$#@ing Belize and Guatemala!!

BSC,

I don't think you realize how much BS business owners, or in my case President of the business, have to put up with from EVERY government entity. I don't need more BS, I need enforcement of existing laws. We don't hire people who are not legal to work in the US. We rely on eVerify and I read about it not being reliable, but at my pay grade there is not much I can do about that.

Excuse my french, but fuck these sanctuary cities. That shit needs to end fast. I'd love to have raids on employers and round up the illegals. I'm tired of losing bids to contractors who undercut me because they can lower their labor load by paying under the table and ignoring immigration status.

I say, figure out how to enforce this shit without having me spend even more time filling out forms and being audited every time I turn around. I'd rather spend time growing the business profitably and sharing it with our employees.

Hi,

More documents from the business owners is not the answer at all.

ENFORCING the laws and statutes that are already on the books is the answer.

Lets us one of my businesses for an example:

It is so controlled, regulated, documented and audited that there are only 2 freight forwarders at IAH airport that can handle my shipments due to DDTC ITAR regulations. And so I have to dearly pay for that, not for the legal labor aspect but for the simple fact the freight forwarders consider it an inconvenience to have my business but DDTC laws says tough shit.

YET

DDTC ITAR regulations state that a non USA citizen is NOT allowed to even look through Gen3 or better Night Vision and Thermals; YET every 20th person at Shot Show is non USA citizen.

Just this morning on my way to the office there were no less than 50 immigrants at gas station for their day labor pickups..all while US CBP SUVs got gas......

Sincerely,
Theis

I used to manage a 7-Eleven corporate store....I am fully aware of the tremendous amount of paperwork that is already required even for the most mundane things.......And we have field consultants and market guys that handle things like when a store is cited because an employee failed to ID for an age-restricted item sale. A whole third of my shift involved clerical stuff and that is just regular store operations.

From that I understand what business owners are facing and I agree with you completely......We can start by enforcing all the stuff that we have in place already. The lack of accountability in government is the main reason why our society is knee-deep in dirty water.

What about the drug cartels that are crossing drugs into the US and taking guns from US to Mexico? These cartels aren't interested in benefits?

Sirhr

The problem with this free fire zone is that it would make it okay for the drug cartels to shoot at US citizens so long as they're in that zone. Also, ranchers with land on the border do have guns but the Mexican drug cartels have much more artillery and they will want to come and use it against us from that free fire zone. The problem isn't only with illegals looking for benefits here. I've seen it first hand, where they're crossing drugs over. I used to fish the Rio Grande a lot. Once, I was told not to leave, to stay put where I was (so I don't go and warn LE and so they can keep an eye on me) and to simply mind my own business and nothing would happen to me. I kinda felt the same way about them tho. So long as they didn't fuck with me or my fishing, they'd be okay lol!

Amen. Why I retired

Just put a bounty on the illegals. $100 ahead could go along ways. Clean up the aliens plus give money to anyone that is willing to find them. Helps out two things at once. The illegals problem and the unemployment problem.

You guys are missing the real issue. Make it impossible for illegals to get a job or to get welfare. Then you won't need a wall. Both parties have delibertly skated on this. The republican business owners want cheap labor and the democrats want the power the lower economic votes give them.

It's more than just illegals, drug cartels are crossing drugs into the US and guns from US to MX.
That is a very easy an simple fix.
What you don't realize is your government started this, is presently involved it this, an excepts this as just the cost of doing business. All that would/could stop in less than 30days if a green light was given. Everything your hearing/seeing is by design to keep the money flowing. How much money is spent upon drugs an drug crime? Stop an think about how many would be out of work . Every industry would lose if the money stopped. Nothing runs or happens w/o the consent of the government, nothing. Look at everything we have declared war on, Food, Poverty, drugs, ect which have we won? Which are more problematic today,... see a pattern here. This is not pointed at the OP but PEOPLE need to wake the FUCK up to lots of THINGS/FACTS

Shoot the mules. Shoot the ones guarding the mules. If it's just plain Juan coming over, don't shoot but making it illegal or next to impossible to obtain the benefits they are currently getting he'll starve and go back or not come over in the first place.

I cant believe all the comments about telling on your fellow man to the government? Sounds like Germans telling the SS where the Jews are hideing, what the fuck is wrong with you people. We want less government not more. How would you like people telling on you were your guns are hidden if and when they start banning shit? Just build the wall and enforce the current laws regarding immagration. Don't worry about what your neighbor is doing. We don't need a world full of tattle tales.

And also fine the employer that hires illegals so heavy, that 1 more illegal hire will damn near put them out of business. Until businesses feel the hurt in the bank account, theyll keep hiring illegals.

How about we don’t let anyone in at all for five years and force everyone to teleconference. We’d get better internet and we could practice shooting at boats and planes.
