It’s not hate.I didn’t know there was so much hate in the world for monopods. I get the dog d**k argument but not the others.
I just learned they usually suck and a bag is so much more versatile in varying positions.

Way cooler than a red rocket. And cooler!
Is there anything obvious that could be done to reduce weight without sacrificing rigidity?Just unwrapped my Xylo last night. Cant test run it for a while, but well worth the weight. Heavier than I personally wanted but it is a sturdy rig that I bet will work well for comps! Excellent fit and finish. Rear stock adjustments are quick and sturdy. Well done Ted and thank you!
Shot 50 rounds of 223 today. The Xylo is very stable, the adjustments are easy and precise, and the grip is natural. I plan on sanding dow the grip and restaining it.
Yay!
A shooting report.

Bug nut?
Is there a lot of elevation on the butt pad adjustment?
The rest of you pre order clowns can eat shit!
Same.I formally regret not ordering after I held it at SHOT 2019. had I known the changes, I would have...
It felt amazing then, and I am a stock guy. The ARCA lock, adjustments, level, etc. all would have made the sale.
Gonna put that on the next rifle.
XYLO in hand. I hear my local FFL is accepting Toilet paper for payment, so hope to grab a nice barreled action here to throw in.
More to follow, pending martial law.

Shooting report
Might not look great, but they're the best groups I've ever had at 300 yards. This is with a 5-15 mph head wind and the chrono hanging off the loud end. Still doing load development. The two targets on the left were shot by my wife who has never touched a precision rifle before now. There are two 3 shot groups on the center target.
Just one word of advice. If your wife ever gets really mad at you, hide that rifle.?Shooting report

Thanks for the feedback. The screws can be shortened using either a belt sander or a file. We shipped the Xylo chassis with 1/4"-28 x 1" long socket head cap screws. These are available from McMaster Carr and shorter 7/8" screws are also available. https://www.mcmaster.com/91251a441Today I was pulling my Bighorn TL3 out of the JAE-700 that I plan to sell (to fund another Xylo) and I thought I'd drop it in the Xylo to see how it fits.
The thick recoil lug on the TL3 (and the thicker recoil lug on the Origin) will not work in the Xylo with the lug clamp in place. I removed the lug clamp and installed the TL3 barreled action. I found that the front action screw was contacting the lower bolt lug. I did as someone else did above and added a washer under the front action screw (I used a washer from the lug clamp screws).
Now the TL3 fits and functions fine.....except that I didn't check magazine fit yet. I'll report back if I have any issues.
Regards,
Ross
It will. The Xylo has a really big trigger pocket.I'm curious if it will take a Tubb T7T trigger.
If the UPS ever gets it to me, I'll be able to answer the question myself. It was supposed to be here yesterday, but it was taken off the truck for some reason.
I'd rather its design follow from function requirements instead of appearing like something that has oozed from an empty head that just discovered the chamfer tool in Solidworks.Yuck, that chassis is hideous, lol.
Though functionality seems over the top.
Maybe it'll grow on me after the initial shock, lol.
We have Archimedes actions in stock. We also have short action right handed chassis in stock for your friends.XYLO in hand. I hear my local FFL is accepting Toilet paper for payment, so hope to grab a nice barreled action here to throw in.

I just created a STEP file containing the surfaces you must use for proper inletting. The external surfaces are for you to create. A link to the STEP file will be on the Xylo page of our website just as soon as Justin can get it done, probably later today.Ted, any way to get the CAD for the grip interface?

Ted
I agree on the wood looking wood and the green is a nice schemeWalnut looks better without stain. Carefully filed the topography and a middle finger groove, then started some boiled linseed oil finish.
