Sigh...what does this have to do with Jack Ryan besides the name? A '70s Cold War style film about his early days could be really cool; then again "Red October" tells the story of his transition from analyst to operations. Meh.

This will suck almost as much as the Sum of All Fears movie. I say almost because I simply can't imagine anything worse than that. When will they just suck it up and do a period-correct, R-rated, faithful-to-the-novel version of Without Remorse? I would let Kelly put me into a hyperbaric chamber for that ;)

Hell yes. Except for the being put in a hyperbaric chamber part.

Finris, while you may "like being in a Hyperbaric Chamber", I venture to assume that you haven't read the book "Without Remorse"? Any and all should read that book, as it is one of the best of Tom Clancy's work. In so many ways. Not all of them are 'great', don't get me wrong, as there is the constant 'evil' in the book too. But yeah, as a psychological 'thinker',,,, that book makes you start looking at things differently.

+1 "Without Remorse" was Clancy's best IMHO from back when he was putting out an 800-900 page kick ass novel every other year. Mr Clark was one Bad MF!
