And so it begins...

Got it out to the range today. Functioned perfectly and was very comfortable to shoot. Sighted it in with 140gr American gunner. Then shot two five shot groups each with 140gr American Gunner, 120gr ELDM, 140gr ELDM, and 147gr ELDM to try to see what it liked. Got pretty windy when I was shooting the 147gr. All of them shot well, but the 140gr ELDM definitely stood out. After that went and shot some steel reaching out to 660yds.

I am impressed and super happy with the rifle so far.

Average velocities:

140gr AG: 2680 fps
120gr ELDM: 2895 fps
140gr ELDM: 2744 fps
147gr ELDM: 2769 fps

Pretty surprised the 147gr was faster than the 140gr.

Dam sun, that 140 ELDM printing great! I'd buy 3500rnds of that to burn out the barrel and not even handload! Lol
This is a fun thread with such forward progress in a limited amount of posts and a fantastic result in the end.
I am no PRS champ, or even PRS shooter, but I try to act like one in the back 40. I wouldn't chase the fastest velocity. Saw a MDT video of Francis Colon talking about scaling back velocity to enhance precision, reduce recoil to better see the hits/splash. Makes perfect sense to me.
