ok I just shot it. I ran about 30 rounds through it and every single round ejected. It does not hurl them, but it does work fine. It is 44ish here today with 45% humdity. I tried 3 factory loads, BH, SW Ammo, Corbon. All averaged right at 2600, BH being the slowest, the Corbon, and SW was the fastest. Best group at 100 was easy 1/2 moa measuring the edge to edge of the hole. Action feel alittle tight, I lubed the bolt up to break it in, I think its the creacote making it tight.

Looks like things have turned around for George. He has 28 rifles listed as ready to ship. I find this a bit amazing considering the past.

A question for those of you that have received you SH build rifle; does your rifle feed by ramming the point of the cartridge bullet against the bottom steeply angled feed ramp?
Does it distort the tips of the bullets?
I noted my rifle did this and wondered if any of the others do as well.

No problems AND NO distortion here [.260]
I've got 417 rds down it now.
Gained about 85 fps since about 150-200
Little bitty holes with my pets running 2664-2685 fps
Feed and functions absolutely flawless

Not much else to say except I hope this is done SOON!

I've used 4350/RL17/4831sc with a mix of Scenar/VLD/SMK/Amax
Probably no surprise here but the VLD and Amax shoots VERY well
SMK's shoot lights out but the Scenar seems to gravitate to the same hole, even with your eyes shut.
Put those on top of a fondness for 4831sc at 47.3 - 47.9 slightly compressed and I'm a happy camper.

I know which way I'd bet on that "realistic" goal (and it would be easy money), he's been telling me "two months" everytime I speak with him for over a year and a half. Guess he's too busy working on new action designs and building OPRs (other people's rifles).

Maybe the "eight going out" was just another lie in a long string of BS?

From what I can gether from replies to this thread, only four (4) members have received their rifles:

I had an action on order with George, from somewhat over a year ago. I ended up finishing the build with a Surgeon RSR. Yesterday I asked for a refund. I paid $500 December 1, 2010.

George said to me , about end of Feb , we will see .

Interesting. It looks like he has "abandoned" the Apex actions in favor of his new Axis "T" series. I saw no reference to the Apex actions (CM or SS) on the new website.
