    Another order for something supposedly in stock.

    No shipment.
    No response to email.
    No one answers the phone.
    No one responds to messages left.

    Order canceled, ordered from a Hide sponsor.

    What good does it do me to save a few dollars if I can't get a live person on the phone, ,much less an actual product shipment.

    I'm a slow learner, but I think this one will do it for good.

    I have had the same miserable experience and they are officially on my $H!T list from now until hell freezes over. There are just too many reputable vendors (Hide sponsors and otherwise) that give a damn about customer service and operating respectable businesses that don't "botach" their customers!!

    As a dealer, I've had numerous requests from customers asking me to meet or beat pricing on certain items that are listed cheaper on the Botach website. When their listed pricing is <span style="font-style: italic">BELOW</span> my wholesale/dealer cost then that should tell you something...

    Sorry to hear about your negative experience. I guess I've been lucky...no problems whatsoever on the few orders I've put in to them.

    As far as calling...I don't think they have a phone in the garage (LOL).

    I once made the mistake of ordering a pair of boots from them at a "close out" price. They didn't have my size in stock apparently so they just sent me a different size and then refused to honor a return. "Because it was a close out." It's not as if it was just a different color or style. Two sizes off. I just ended up giving them away. Lesson learned.

    I've ordered from them once and will never do it again for the exact same reason.

    They report something as "In Stock", then pull the rug from underneath you and let you know that it actually isn't, only to take months to fill the order.

    Fuck those guys.

    I have always told people to find anyone BUT Botach to deal with because they screwed a few of my Soldiers on stuff back in 2005 before we rolled out for OEFVII. You get screwed by Botack and you didn't do a search here on the site, well, No luck for sympathy here. Pure and Simple, Botach sucks balls. Not just any balls, but fat dirty sweaty shit covered homo balls.
    That is the opinion of six Soldiers who dealt with Botach so learn their lesson and don't go there.

    Is there a specific reason why "fat dirty sweaty shit covered homo balls" wold be somehow worse than fat dirty sweaty shit covered hetero balls?

    I mean it seems that all fat dirty sweaty shit covered balls would be equally bad regardless of the sexual orientation of the owner of said balls.

    But regardless, Botach sucks them.

    I should hold a seminar about how to not get ripped by Botach (other than just not buying from them).

    1. Find product on website.
    2. Call to ensure it's in stock.
    3. Order with credit card.
    4. If it don't ship ASAP advise them you are canceling the order and advise your CC of the issue.

    OR

    Order from a Hide vendor and not worry about it.

    My favorite was their 24hr support line for Goverment/LE orders (I have not even looked at their site for years so dont know if they still have it).

    I had about $75k of grant money I had to burn in a 30 day window. I left at least three messages as well as emails regarding a purchase of weapon lights and about 6 months after the contract was filled by someone else they called and wanted to know if we still wanted the lights.

    And as far as dirty ball sucking that pretty much covers it regarding their customer service.

    They may have the most piss poor reliability, but I'm cheap. And I'm patient.

    Over V-day I picked up a Multicam Eberlestock Halftrack pack and a Harris BRMS bipod for $250 shipped. It was easily a $320 value order. I got the pack a few days later. The bipod was backordered, but showed up a few weeks later.

    I never got an email update and had to call a few times. But not as painful as being out an extra $70.

    I have a friend of mine that is still attempting to get a resolution on an item ordered through them.
    I'm trying to help him to get his money back also.
    Tho I do have experience in that theater.....inside joke.

    Spend your money on items through Hide vendors.
    Simple as that.

    Well fuck me.. guess I should of came here first..

    I placed a order for a Kiwi desert cleaning kit and kiowa bellvilles with 2nd day air last weds, and guess what I got 2days later.... kit no boots and 125$ less in the bank along with unanswered calls and emails. Saving 10bucks now to me wasn't even worth it. If I lived 6hrs further west I'd piss on that place.

    Mike, it's pretty stand-up of you to come on this board and post (considering the train-wreck of the company you work for)...but Botach is toxic and 7 out of 10 people know it...1 person is happy and 2 people haven't ordered and been screwed yet.

    One of your other "company reps" (Dan) was on here back in August or so spouting the same line that you are spouting now. The fact remains that your company has been, and continues to be, one of the single BEST examples of how NOT to conduct business.

    I understand and respect your attempts to improve relations with your customer base, trying to reinvent Botach as a business that gives a damn about its customers and providing them with honest service and good prices, and trying to improve your overall poor image...but you've got a LOT of obstacles to overcome and the proof will only come with time (certainly doesn't seem like you have made much if any progress since your colleague was on here last).

    Someone once said credibility is gained in inches and lost in yards. From what I have read here since I started lurking, it's unlikely I would ever have any dealings with Botach. Too many good people here to conduct business with.

    But its beyond god damn insulting that at 1600 or so AZ time your on a forum instead of addressing my issue with these boots that should of been here Friday, if your boss tasked you with PR while you have unresolved "current" orders he's a fool and you as a supervisor are failing to prioritize what's important.

    I don't ask for much... I'm a reasonable guy, I buy things I need and sell shit I don't.
    When I see a billion products on a website, I assume they're in stock and good to go or if they aren't then something reflecting that.

    I've actually been to your office, know a couple dudes and have seen how busy it is, how much stuff you have and dealt with you a lot in the past. I'll continue to order from you but not until I ring up and ask if you actually have it beforehand.

    Just make sure what you do it's not a BAND AID!


    This industry needs shit to get done done yesterday... Not a time wasting disposal store selling rubbish from the 90's.

    This sucks that some of you guys had a bad experience with BOTACH. I did order from them one time earlier this year. I must say everything went smooth. No delays in shipping, and the order was right. Maybe I got an employee who gave a sh*t about his job that day lol..

    I'm not trying to insult you, but me posting on these boards IS my priority, as we both know that you have no idea what my job is or the responsibilities that come with it. If you want me to address your issue, per the instructions on my post, email me and I will look into it. Posting something that tells me that I'm failing and offering me with no productive information on your issue does neither of us any good.

    I genuinely want to help anybody who's having a problem. Can one person fix a whole company? It's difficult, but I will absolutely try as hard as I can. In order for me to do so, I need people to work with me, not cynically questioning my intentions. As some of you are aware, Dan tried and helped many people. Now I'm doing it and I've helped many people. We don't steal, we don't lie, and if a specific situation seems otherwise, there is most likely a reason and a solution for it. You can't progress if you continue to take steps backwards, so if you have an outstanding issue, if you need something looked into, please email me and I'll do my very best to help you.

    There are multiple posts on this forum and others complaing about Botach. I've ordered from them before and recently this month. I've found that if they have the item in stock, then great price and timely delivery. Otherwise you are screwed.

    Let me say it again, email..email...email. Botach staff take a message. Having a good email service and actually responding to inquiries would solve a lot of your problems.

    Tell that to everybody who has had to dispute things with there CC company after doing everything they could to get a hold of you guys (including myself).

    Hell, The one time I ordered from you guys my CC info was stolen and used to order $50 worth of No-Doze. I ended up reporting it as fraud and had to get a new freaking card.
     
    Botach screwed me again.

    Mike, I am the original poster and I take issue with your self-proclaimed "top priority" being to post on "these boards."

    I complained because I ordered an in-stock item over 1 month ago, 2 emails went unanswered (still unanswered while you talk on boards about how things are improving), 2 phone messages have gone unanswered (still unanswered, while I hear about improvements), no shipment, no update, no nothing.

    This was my first order in a few years - since my lat order was a train-wreck also.

    I appreciate the lip-service of improvements and "we care" happy posts, but the proof is in the proverbial foot in the ass you give many when they place an order and want a product.

    No one here is being unreasonable, I gave you over a month to fill the order and you failed. And it was an "in stock" item.


    There are only 2 ways to learn: experience and instruction. I learned this valuable lesson by experience, and am hoping to help others learn by instruction: do not order from Botach.

    I was hopeful things had changed, they haven't, lesson finally learned.

    Maybe you should hire someone to answer phone and email, then a "web supervisor" wouldn't be needed on all the "complaint boards."

    I ordered a couple of items from them years ago. I received my email confirmation later on, waited about a month and started making phone calls.

    I kept getting the run around, when I actually spoke to someone, and ended up canceling my order. I had report it as fraud on my credit card since I could not get a response from Botach.

    Never again.

    There are too many other good folks here and around the net to buy from to deal with that kind of BS.

    Honestly, if it's taken TWENTY years for you all to attempt to improve your business and it's still this poor then either:

    1. You really don't care and you're just spouting a lot of praise thinking it'll make things better.

    2. You do care but the amount of workload going into your company is way more than you and your employees can competently handle. I.e. your up to your eyeballs in orders and are unable to effectively move them because you don't have the manpower.

    I have never known a person to have a good experience with this company. If I'm not mistaken the family (extended?)has had charges brought against them for arms smuggling. Bad business boys.

    YEA! I almost placed an order, but the way there customer service was responding with were working on it, will call you ( NEVER DID) so I asked here. My opion Botach sill has to straighten up. Its a chance you have to take, no matter the discount.

    I had this same experience last year. One week went by without a confirmation email. I call several times a day for 3 days. Nothing. I sent an email. Some time around the start of week 2 I get a return email stating that some items are on backorder. So I call in. Surprise- no response. I leave a message. Then I send a reply email from their latest return email asking when it will be in, because they didn't bother to give me that precious info. They send an email back about a day later stating that they don't know. I send them an email telling them to cancel my order and refund my money. 2 days later I'm getting nervous when I get a return email stating that they cancelled the order.
    I have a partner who ordered stuff from them and got it about a week and a half later. No confirmation email, no shipping info, nothing. Just ordered it and then eventually got a package.

    I know Botach comes on here, but it doesn't matter how much one can promise to do better and promise to give you good service. If they don't, it's just lip service. In the best light, one could say that Botach is "inconsistent". If I were inconsistent at work, I'd get fired and would never be able to get another cop job ever again.
    Perfect reason why sticking with Hide vendors and supporters is important. I like "reliable" and "consistent".
