I wouldn't say anything, except it already went there in post #6, but this is essentially how the SA started out. They sort of Ad Hoc assumed the duties of the regular duties of the Polizei and battled the Communists in the streets. Honestly, the only way I see this as any different either on the ground or politically is that we don't really understand who is running the show...? The police are already the Mayor's private army. Why in the world would he want to subvert their authority, his authority, to a bunch of anarchist thugs? It doesn't make any sense to me at all...

The dead man was found with several pistols nearby and had been involved in an earlier shooting.

My "up here" may not be as "up there" as your "up there," but we share the same PSP. They may pull that crap at Love Park in Center City, or South Street, or especially in the Northern Liberties or University City, but I doubt we'll be seeing it out here among the Mennonites and the Schwenkfelders. The local hipsters burn the shit up out of fossil fuels to head down that way and wallow in the stink of patchouli, but around here they keep a low profile. My days of rubbing elbows with the progressively dumb and dumber came to an end pretty much in the spring. Nowadays, every so often I have to hold my nose and venture into the Main Line and DelCo on errands, and take advantage of my brief passage to snag some unobtanium. That said, I've found a place out here that makes a pretty acceptable cheesesteak and doesn't show any out-of-towner tendencies to automatically slather shit on them that just doesn't go. Hell, I even found decent Mexican, too.
Call the LEO. and record the message telling them that you have to get to work and they are breaking the law. If they don't act, then drive forward SLOWLY and push them out of the way. Record all of it for insurance purposes. You can't be charged with anything as you aren't moving fast enough to hurt anyone. Odds are that they would eventually break ranks long enough to get through.
This group was not like the violent gangs diverting people to the right. Therefore, getting out of your car and convincing other drivers to join you in moving them, would likely not be hard and is another approach

This seems like such a tricky situation. At 54 years of age my days of physically kicking anyone"s ass is likely over and not advisable.
I do wonder though at what point does the motorist feel the mob is a threat to his or her life or safety?
I guess when the ability to flee from the danger is no longer an option, which sucks, because if multiple masked thugs are pounding on my car, I am going to be very pissed, no doubt feel threatened and that judgement call becomes rather cloudy.
Mob activity did not work out very well for that Reginald Denny dude when he got yanked out of his semi.

I think a lot of your average drivers don't fully appreciate how many crazy maneuvers you can pull off even with a standard sedan. If you have at least some room to move, you can be bushwhacking people on all sides of your car in short succession, even from a standstill.
Why not the local citizens contact the best shit eating lawyer and get a class action suit against the city, police, mayors office, county, and even state. The prospect of losing a lot of money usually makes people sit up and take notice. If the local mayor is too much a pussy then he or she must be removed and someone put in place to restore order. This way the burden is not on the people to choose to either run over the idiots or be sheep and sit there.

Yup, they were protesting the death of Pat Pat a local known gang member who was trying to turn his life around. At 3am cops heard shots fired and went to investigate like good police officers do, they had a man running towards them with a gun and shot him when he refused their commands. They found four other pistols and two men wounded laying on the ground nearby. If you've seen the second video of the protestors chasing the car you'll see two of them with ASP's , you know this small expandable batons. This whole thing is such BS, I grew up in the PDX metro area and frankly am disgusted with how what was once the Rose city is now like San Fran with all the homeless, drugs and general lawlessness.

Patriots need to ride in heavily armed squads to those intersections and restore law and order since the fucking cops won't do it.
And then the .gov organized crime enforcers would be there quick to take you to jail.

What would I do? The short answer is that I would go to jail. Know thyself. That's a large part of the reason why I don't live where nonsense like this would happen or would be tolerated. I hate to say it because I'm sure there are still some good people left in that area and relocation is not always an easy thing, but this is the kind of shit you deal with in a liberal shithole. Democracy ensures that the people get exactly the government they deserve, and the people of Portlandia put the shitbag mayor in office who allows this to go on.
