Rifle Scopes Any Kruger 2.5-10X50 Users Here??

Recently read an article in Shotgun News about this 'scope written by David Fortier. Have been looking for a 'scope for my Swiss K-31 and can't envision putting $1K glass on a $300 rifle that I seldom use. This "scope is in their TACDRIVER series and sells for $260 retail. His critique makes this item sound like just the ticket for me, unless he is noted for shilling for anyone who advertises in SGN. Has anyone even heard of Kruger, or this 'scope in particular??
