Re: Any news on the FN SPR bottom metal...
Gents,
FNH is very close to launching the TBM Conversion Kit. Customer Service does not have the information yet, as the release date has not been set. There are some distribution agreements need to be hammered out. End of June at the latest. MSRP will be around $430. It will come with the TBM trigger guard/bottom metal, a five round TBM magazine, a ten round TBM magazine, a new set of action screws, and instructions. Bottom metal and magazine bodies are steel. Magazine release is ambidextrous, much like on a SCAR and FNAR. TBM Magazines are already available from MidwayUSA and the FNH E-Store.
They will drop right into SPRs with DBM assemblies. PBRs and TSRs with Hogue stocks and DBM might require minor fitting inside the stock inlet behind the magazine well. Any rifle with a hinged floorplate (A3G) will require a gunsmith to do a complete inlet on the bottom. It will not currently handle the WSM cartridges. No modification to the receiver is required for .308 Win based cartridges.
Watch for an official announcement here on the Hide and/or the FNH website (press release). Sources will be identified at that time. Thanks for your patience, I know some of you have been waiting for some time for this.
